Title I Information
The parent's Right to Know information is linked below. Please feel free to reach out if you need additional information.
We will be sending the Out-of-field letters out on February 10th to parents of students that have a teacher who is teaching out-of-field.
Teachers are identified as out-of-field based upon their teaching assignments and student enrollment, as identified in the Florida Department of Education Course Code Directory. Teachers who teach one or more classes of a subject that is not a subject area listed on their Florida Educator's Certificate are considered out-of-field.
What this might mean:
- the teacher has an out of state or out of country certification and is completing the steps to get their certification in Florida
- the teacher may be certified, but out-of-field due to a missing endorsement, such as the ESOL endorsement
- the teacher may have a degree in a different subject area and working on coursework for certification
Some of our Out-of-Field teachers have many years of experience in the classroom and are working on the specific requirements to become fully certified. NES works diligently each year to put the very best teachers in front of our students everyday and we look forward to the great work they will accomplish with our students this year.
The list of teachers that are out of field at NES is below.

At this time, we do not have any long term substitute teachers.
Aalia Murphy, Inez Harvey, Keisha Dobbins, Meredith Hilliard, and Natoya Stevens are in their first year of teaching.
If you have any questions regarding these qualifications, please contact Mrs. Jessica Lowe at (863) 462-5100 or jessica.lowe@okeeschools.org.
