Apply to be an Intern with the Plano Mayor!

The Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (PMSIP) is an earn-and-learn opportunity open exclusively to Plano ISD students.

Intern Eligibility

• Be a Rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a Plano ISD High School
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a solid attendance record.
• Be at least 16 years old by June 8, 2026
• Be eligible to work in the United States
• Be available to work the entire 8 weeks of the internship June 8 through July 31
• Be available to attend all PMSIP training and program dates

Applications will be accepted from January 16 to February 9 at 5 p.m. or until 300 applications are received.

Note that applying does not guarantee placement in an internship.

Thursday, January 29th, will be set aside for Parents to pre-schedule and meet with their student's teacher for a conference.

If you would like to have an in-person conference on this day, please reach out to the pertinent teacher directly . Teachers can be available before school, during their conference period, or after school until 6:0pm on this date.

We always value our parent partnerships and encourage you to communicate all semester. Of course, you can request a conference or phone call at any time.

We also encourage you to send any positive notes and gratitude to recognize the great things happening!

We have created our graduation page that will share all the details every family needs. Attention to students in classes associated with AP Classroom,

Whether you have an existing College Board account or are creating a new account make sure the email address on file is your PISD student email. You cannot use your personal email or phone number on your college board account. If you have any question your AP teachers can help walk you through this process. There is a google slides presentation that goes step by step they can share with you. This is necessary for you to be able to continue to access AP classroom throughout the school year as well as for AP testing. You can find more information here.
