We hope you all had a wonderful break with your kiddos and families! Our first semester ended with so many things to celebrate at CES... Our students put on a lovely music program they have been working so hard on, we filled our hearts with joy as we delivered goodie boxes and carolled around all the towns in our communities, students partied with their classmates in celebration of the upcoming holidays, and we met a BIG goal in the area of math....
Each day, our students attend WIN Time for reading and math. WIN Time stands for What I Need- groups are based on students' mastery of skills in both areas and we work intensely in small groups to fill identified gaps in learning as well as accelerate those who are on benchmark. This semester our students and staff were able to lower the number of students needing math intervention to a level where we no longer need to have WIN Time for math building wide. The amount of students we have performing at or above benchmark allows for us to provide targeted intervention to the few who still need it, but we no longer need to use a building wide ntervention time K-6. This has been a target of ours for sometime and we are overjoyed to meet this goal! Please congratulate your students on their hard work!
