The Weekly Update #4
August 22nd, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Whew!! We came back from break and jumped straight into MAP testing—and our students absolutely locked in! Walking through the halls this week, we could see scholars focused, determined, and giving their very best effort. We are so proud of them, and we’re excited to see the amazing growth in their scores!
Students now know both their Beginning-of-Year (BOY) MAP scores and the scores from this week’s Middle-of-Year tests. Please take a moment to talk with your child—ask how they felt about their performance, where they felt strong, and where they may need extra support. These conversations help us work together to ensure every student gets the help they need to continue growing.
With just 10 days left before Winter Break, let’s stay focused and finish strong! Encourage your scholars to check their grades, complete missing assignments, and make sure their report cards reflect their hard work.
Tardy Policy Updates for Between Classes:
Parents, we need your help ensuring students are in class on time. Three or more tardies in one week will result in an after-school detention. If a student receives three or more tardies for two consecutive weeks, the consequence will elevate to a Saturday detention.
Thank you for helping us reinforce responsibility and respect for instructional time. ⏰💛
Please continue reading through the rest of the newsletter for more updates, upcoming dates, and ways to stay involved. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the weather gets colder, we want to ensure students stay warm while still following the school dress code.
Please review the following reminders with your child:
- Warm-up pants, sweatpants, joggers, and athletic pants are not allowed as uniform bottoms.
- Students may wear sweatpants over their jeans on cold mornings, but they must remove them once inside the building.
- Beanies, hoodies, and other cold-weather headgear may be worn outdoors but must be removed indoors unless they meet dress code guidelines.
We have also seen an increase in students not wearing their assigned grade-level uniform shirt. Please help us ensure students are wearing the correct color each day:
- 6th Grade – Black
- 7th Grade – Red
- 8th Grade – Yellow
If a student arrives out of dress code:
- They will be required to call a parent or guardian to bring appropriate clothing.
- If a change of clothes cannot be provided, the student will be assigned to ISS for the day.
If your family does not have appropriate clothing for the colder weather, please reach out to our campus. We are here to support you and can assist with resources to help keep students warm and in dress code.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and partnership in keeping our scholars safe, warm, and ready to learn.

Every day truly counts in Spring ISD! When students are in class, they stay connected, confident and ready to learn. Missing even one day before Winter break can set students back, as new material is still being taught. Let’s finish the year strong—together in culture, together in accountability. 💛
