Happy New Year Hunter Families
Let me begin by wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with many successes and continued progress. During winter break, I hope you had the chance to catch up with friends and family and enjoy some rest and relaxation. I certainly spent some time reflecting on 2019 and thought about the work and opportunities that lie ahead in 2020. A motto I take into every new year is, "You don't have to be bad to get better." Our school and community is an outstanding place to grown and learn. Our staff strives to make it even better each and every day! I am excited for what 2020 has in store for our students and our school.
Welcome Mrs. Cain to Art and Music
Gibraltar School District has hired Mrs. Laura Cain to teach both Music and Art. Mrs. Cain will teach at multiple Gibraltar Elementary Schools. She will take over several sections of Music and Art at Hunter. Starting on Monday January 6th, Mrs. Cain will teach music to the following classes: Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Seckel, Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. Bayer. Additionally, she will teach art to the following classes: Mrs. Zavalney, Mr. Pak, Mrs. LaButte and Mrs. Tessier.
HFSA
I'd like to take a moment to sincerely thank our HFSA team and parent volunteers for making our Santa's Secret Shop a success. We do not contract an outside company for this event, our HFSA Board does all of the shopping immediately after the holiday and throughout the year to prepare for this week of fun for our students. It is a ton of work and a huge commitment on their part. This special time for our students would not be possible without their year long dedication.
The next HFSA meeting will be held in the Hunter Learning Center at 6:00pm on January 14th, 2020.
