We look forward to welcoming our St. Joe’s grandparents for Grandparents Mass this Wednesday, September 16! Before Mass, grandparents are invited to join us in the Parish Hall for coffee and pastries.

☕ 7:15 AM — Grandparents Gathering
⛪ 8:30 AM — Mass

As grandparents arrive at the church, student helpers will also be there to greet them with a special flower. A few helpful reminders: Students will sit with their classes during Mass and will not join their grandparents. Following Mass, there will not be a reception or classroom visits inside the school.

We are excited to celebrate our wonderful grandparents and share this special morning with them!

Volunteers & Donations Needed!
We are looking for volunteers to help with setup and cleanup from 7:00–8:30 AM and for donations to help make our gathering extra special.

All food and drink donations should be dropped off by 7:00 AM on September 16 so our volunteers have time to set everything up before grandparents arrive. Donation can also be dropped off the day before and stored in the cafeteria.

Thank you for helping us give our St. Joe’s grandparents a warm and wonderful welcome!

Mother Teresa often said, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Being a disciple of Christ doesn’t always mean doing something big. More often, it is found in the small choices we make each day. A smile. An invitation. A helping hand. A kind word. A little extra patience.

What small act of love can you do today?

Choose one intentional act of love to practice today: help without being asked, include someone who feels left out, be patient with a sibling, encourage a friend, show gratitude, or give someone a little extra grace. “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40

Keep Your Child Breathing Easy This School Year

As fall approaches, September brings a sharp rise in asthma flareups and seasonal respiratory viruses like RSV, flu, and common cold. When kids return to school, higher pollen levels and shared germs can make breathing difficult for children with asthma. Staying ahead of these triggers is key to keeping your child healthy, active, and out of the urgent care or emergency room this school season.

Inhalers are most effective tool to protect your child’s lungs. Daily controller inhalers reduce hidden swelling in the airways so triggers don’t cause sudden attacks, while fast-acting rescue inhalers provide quick relief during unexpected breathing troubles. Please ensure your child takes their daily medication as prescribed, check that rescue inhalers are not expired, and provide an updated asthma action plan along with an extra inhaler to your school nurse.
