Are you ready to Pack the Piggy, Westgate? The Arlington Heights Council of PTA’s (AHC-PTA) funds $15k annually in scholarships for former D25 graduating seniors in D214. This year, the AHC-PTA will be running it’s 5th “Pack the Piggies” fundraiser across the district to raise money for these scholarships.

The contest begins 4/13 and goes through 4/17, which gives us 5 days to pack our piggy to reach our goal! Each district school’s goal is to raise $1 per student. Our school's goal is $596 If we reach our school) goals, our school’s prize will be a staff inflatable race. To help reach our goal, students can bring in coins, cash, or checks (made out to the AHC-PTA) and pack our piggy! Let’s have some fun for a great cause starting next Monday!

MAP testing begins next week on April 15 - April 24th for all grade levels. Classroom teachers will reach out with specific schedules for each class. For optimal testing environments, please ensure that your child has a charged chromebook, a full night's rest, and a healthy breakfast! Thanks for your support!

It’s time once again to celebrate National Bike & Roll to School Day! This year’s event takes place on Wednesday, May 6—so get ready to ride or roll your way to school. Wear your Westgate spirit wear to celebrate and prepare to get rolling all through the month of May! Can't get to school on wheels? Want to participate from home? No problem! Bike Bingo cards will be distributed to all students who want to keep riding during the entire month of May. Turn your card into your teacher or the front office by May 29th to be entered into a raffle for prizes donated by local bike businesses.

Please remember there are 3 areas of bike racks on school property: 5th grade doors, kindergarten doors, and the northeast side of the building. We anticipate many students needing to lock their bikes. Please be courteous and lock bikes with the tire facing forward, allowing enough space for others. And last but not least - don't forget safety first! Wear a helmet, ride with an adult, walk your bikes on school property, and lock your bike!

Please know that the placement process for all of the Westgate students is extensive and well thought out. To that end, it is important to understand that requests for a specific teacher will not be considered, as allowing parents to request teachers puts a significant strain on an already extensive process. All staff members are committed to providing the best education for your children. This form is to be completed by Friday, April 10, 2026.
