Notes From The Office
Happy March!
As we move into the month of March, it’s exciting to see the continued growth, learning, and energy throughout Windom Elementary School. Our students and staff have been working hard, and there are many wonderful activities and opportunities for learning happening in classrooms each day. This time of year always seems to fly by, and we are already beginning to look ahead to the final months of the school year.
Families can expect more information soon regarding dates for end of the year celebrations and events. We know these are special moments for students and families, and we look forward to sharing those details with you in the coming weeks so you can plan ahead.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we make Windom Elementary a wonderful place for students to learn, grow, and thrive.
February Recap
👍Character Education Assembly👍
Our students recently gathered for a wonderful Character Education Assembly led by our school social worker, Mrs. Chadwell, along with members of the Student Council. The focus of the assembly was kindness, and our Student Council members did an amazing job performing short skits that showed how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Through their creativity and teamwork, they reminded everyone in our building that kindness is always cool! Thank you to Mrs. Chadwell and our Student Council for leading such a meaningful and engaging assembly. 😊
💛PUNT 💛
Our school community came together in an incredible way to support the PUNT Pediatric Cancer Collaborative through this year’s PUNT Fundraiser. As a district, we raised an amazing $11,088.88 to help support families and children affected by pediatric cancer. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and helped spread the word. A special thank you goes to Windom’s own Mrs. Barnhart for organizing this meaningful opportunity and helping our students and staff make a real difference. Your leadership and the generosity of our community truly embody the spirit of giving. 💛
🎭Seussical The Musical🎭
This year’s production of Seussical the Musical was truly one to remember! Our students wowed the audience with their energy, creativity, and incredible performances, bringing the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life on stage. The show was a wonderful celebration of student talent and the power of collaboration.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Stifter, and Ms. Pawarski for their dedication, creativity, and countless hours of work in making this production such a success. We are also incredibly grateful to the many Windom staff members who stepped in to help with rehearsals, costumes, sets, and all the behind the scenes details that made the show possible. We also want to thank all of the family and friends that came out to support our talented performers!
Because of the teamwork and commitment of our staff and students, this year’s production was an unforgettable experience for our entire school community. Bravo to everyone involved! 🎭✨
🌞The Great Kindness Challenge 🌞
During the Great Kindness Challenge, our school community truly showed what it means to lead with kindness! Throughout the week, students and staff worked together to recognize and celebrate acts of kindness happening all around our building. We are proud to share that, as a school, we collected 697 kindness links! Each link represents a thoughtful action, helping hand, or caring moment shared between members of our community. Thank you to all of our students and staff for helping make our school a place where kindness grows every day! 💙✨
🧠WE are 100 Days Smarter 🧠
We recently celebrated an exciting milestone at Windom - our 100th Day of School! Students across the building marked the occasion with fun activities centered around the number 100, celebrating all the learning and growth that has taken place so far this year. Our 2nd grade students also joined in the fun by celebrating the 102nd day of school, recognizing that they are now 102 days smarter! It was a wonderful way for students to reflect on their progress and enjoy a memorable day of learning together. 🎉📚
