Updates From The Principal
Hello NRMS Families,
We have reached the month of June and we have so many fun events between now and the last day of school for students, which is a full day of school on Friday June 26. There are a number of field trips and of course the House Cup Olympics. Please review the full list of events below. We will invite you to the awards ceremony if your child will be receiving an award.

Bravo to our 6th grade student musicians who performed at this week's concert. It was a wonderful performance and the musicians have improved so much this year.
If you are willing to volunteer to chaperone the 8th grade dinner dance (evening of June 18) or assist with the House Cup Olympics (afternoons June 18, 22, and 23), or chaperone the mini golf or ice skating field trip (morning of June 24), please email Mr. Barr : Barrg@nausetschools.org Thank you for your support.
Finally, today we had a videographer here interviewing some teachers and students. He will then compile the footage into a video that captures our amazing middle school. I cannot wait to see the finished product. I was able to sit in on some of the student interviews. It was so incredible to listen to students share their experiences and connections to our school. I am a proud principal today hearing our students share their pride in Nauset.
Enjoy the weekend.

Fall Sports Registration is Now Open
Dear Nauset Regional Middle School Parents & Student-Athletes,
NRMS is gearing up for the upcoming 2026 Fall Sports Season here at NRMS. This Fall, we will be offering Girls and Boys Soccer, Field Hockey, Volleyball and Cross Country for students in grades 6 through 8.
REGISTRATION
Registration for the fall sports season will begin on Friday, June 5nd and end on Friday, September 11th.
To sign up for participation, please visit Arbiter Sports by clicking: HERE.
PHYSICAL
Before students can participate in tryouts, it is imperative that they have a valid in-person physical examination on file with the nurse's office at NRMS dated within the last 13 months. If your student-athlete's physical examination is not up to date, we urge you to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience to ensure timely clearance for participation in the tryouts. For questions regarding physicals, contact our school nurse Bonnie Hartung (hartungb@nausetschools.org)
CONCUSSION EDUCATION
Students must complete the online concussion education course for students. Select Massachusetts and download the course. The course is free.
Email a screenshot/picture of the completion certificate to the NRMS Athletic Director Greggory Barr at barrg@nausetschools.org . The certificate will have a completion code on the bottom right of the certificate. The course certificate is valid for one year.
ELIGIBILITY
Academic eligibility for participation in Fall sports is determined by their report cards. Students with two or more failing grades, or those with one failing grade and an incomplete, will be deemed academically ineligible for participation. Additionally, students intending to try out for teams will undergo an eligibility review to assess their adherence to the Nauset ROCKS principles. Students who have failed to demonstrate these principles may be denied the opportunity to participate.
FALL SPORTS MANDATORY MEETING
The Fall sports Student Athlete meeting is scheduled for September 10th at 2:45pm in the Nauset Regional Middle School cafeteria. There will be a Virtual Parent meeting on September 10th at 6:30pm.
