CELEBRATING VALENTINE'S DAY
We had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine’s Day this past Thursday! It was a day filled with creativity, fun, and lots of love. Our students and staff truly embraced the spirit of the day, and their imaginative Valentine boxes and cards were a highlight of the celebration.
From animals to vending machines, sports fields, and favorite characters, the creativity on display was incredible. Each box was unique and a true reflection of our students' personalities and talents!
In addition to the festive decorations, students also enjoyed delicious treats and participated in fun, themed activities throughout the day. It was a great opportunity for students to bond with their classmates and celebrate together.
Thank you for your continued support in making events like this such a success. We’re grateful for the joy and excitement it brings to our school community!
SPREADING KINDNESS
We are excited to share that Gold Rush had an amazing Kindness Week! It was a week filled with spirit, fun, and, most importantly, acts of kindness throughout our school community.
The Student Council took the lead in organizing daily Spirit Days, where students had the chance to dress up in creative ways. We saw fantastic superhero costumes, beloved Disney characters, and plenty of bows on display as our students showed off their school spirit! Each day, students were also encouraged to participate in kindness challenges, inspiring our school to think of new ways to be kind to one another.
Our counselor, along with classroom teachers, worked hard to engage students in important lessons about kindness and anti-bullying. In the primary grades, students focused on identifying their feelings and using "safe hands" as a way to communicate and interact with others. In the intermediate grades, students learned how to build strong communities and what it means to be an "upstander"—someone who stands up for others and promotes a positive school environment.
It was heartwarming to see our students come together, spread kindness, and work toward making Gold Rush a safe, welcoming, and supportive place for everyone.
Thank you to all of our families for your continued support in making this event such a success!
THANK YOU PTO & PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible PTO and all of our parents for making this week extra special for our staff. Your kindness and generosity have truly brightened our days!
The PTO went above and beyond to show our appreciation. They treated our staff to a delightful popcorn bar, a cozy coffee truck, delicious Cinnabons, and so much more! The thoughtful gestures made a big impact, and we are deeply grateful for all the effort that went into making this week a memorable one.
It is because of the wonderful support of our parent community that we are able to create such a positive and welcoming environment for both students and staff. We feel truly fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive community.
Thank you once again for making this week extra special!
