HV Update 3-27-26
A message from your principal, Mrs. Stager
This week, our fifth graders had an introduction to PV with a visit from administration, guidance, and peer leaders. The excitement is beginning! The second graders did an amazing job with their wax museum today and we are looking forward to their Bookwormy night next week.
Congratulations to all students who participated in the Music in Our Schools concert last night! There is a link to the video included in the newsletter.
Next week is a four day week due to the start of spring break on Friday. Hopefully, we will also have some spring weather return. Enjoy your weekend and we'll see you back at HV on Monday.
Best,
Allison

From the Health Office.....
- Norovirus is the leading cause of vomiting and diarrhea.
- Is it the stomach bug?
Is it the cold or flu?
What about strep throat?
Please adhere to the following guidelines to help stop the spread of illness:
- If nausea/vomiting/diarrhea- keep your child home until at least 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
- Keep your child home until fever-free for 24 hours without the need to take fever-reducing medication (fever is defined 100.4 and above)
- If your child has the Flu- keep your child home until fever-free for 24 hours without the need to take fever-reducing medication and feeling well enough to participate in normal activities which means the individual is no longer feeling ill and is able to participate comfortably in educational and other activities as they did before they were ill.
- If your child has strep throat- keep your child home until at least 12 hours have passed since the start of antibiotic treatment and fever-free for 24 hours without the need to take fever-reducing medication and feeling well enough to participate in normal activities.
- In general, keep your child home if he/she does not feel well enough to participate in normal activities, even if fever-free.
- When reporting an absence, please report symptoms and any official diagnoses.
- Remind your child about practicing good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
Enjoy the weekend!
