Cole Miners' Dig

Principal's Notes
What a gorgeous day for Field Day! Many thanks to Mr. Thornton, the teachers and staff, the PTO, and all of the parent volunteers who helped to make this such a memorable day for our students! Pictures will be shared on the Cole PTO facebook page soon.
Class placements for the 2026-2027 school year are now finalized. Students will have the exciting opportunity to meet their new teacher and classmates during Move Up Day on Monday, June 22nd. To ensure a smooth start to the school year, no placement changes will be made after this date. We encourage families to prepare children for the possibility that they may have a different teacher or classroom friends than they expected. Each new school year brings wonderful opportunities to form new friendships, learn from different teaching styles, and grow as learners. This transition is an excellent chance to help your child develop resilience and flexibility—valuable life skills that will serve them well throughout their educational journey.
After today, there are just 10 days of school left and we need your help to close down the building for the year and plan for next year. Please give your attention to these matters if they apply to your child or family.
1. Please check your child's lunch account and pay any remaining balances.
2. Return any library books to the library.
3. Check the lost and found by the cafeteria. Items will be donated on Monday, June 22nd.
4. If your child is not returning to Cole School next year for any reason, please contact the office so we can begin the transfer process and account accurately for placement.
The swing set on the Cole School playground will be reopened next week!
Magnificent Meerkats
We will celebrate two weeks worth of Magnificent Meerkats next week!
Specialists' Scoop
PE Happenings
Cole School Field Day had an Olympic theme this year. Each class represented a country of their choice and traveled through 13 different Olympic stations. The challenging stations had something for everyone which included team building (Irish Bucket Brigade), competivie (Greek Obstacle Course), wet (French Balloon Toss) and tasty (Norwegian Snack Break). Thanks to some 2026 Norwell High School graduates and parent volunteers for their time which helped create a fun time for all.
