Happy Friday, RCES Families!

As we head into the weekend, we want to say thank you for your partnership! šŸ’™šŸ’›

From the moment our students step onto the bus, to the learning and relationships built in the classroom, to getting everyone safely home at dismissal, it takes all of us working together.

Families, teachers, staff, bus drivers, and administrators all play an important role in creating a safe, positive, and successful school experience for our children. When we communicate, support one another, and assume positive intentions, our kids are the ones who benefit most.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for continuing to be our partners in their success. We hope our RCES families have a wonderful and restful weekend! 🐾

Together, we are building something great for our kids.

Have a great weekend, RCES Families!

Sincerely,

Dr. Lowe-Barton & Dr. Slaney

RAAC announces auditions for ā€œThe Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobeā€ to be staged the first

two weekends in December. In this classic tale by C.S. Lewis, what begins as a simple game of

hide and seek quickly turns into the adventure of a lifetime as four children walk through a

wardrobe and into the land of Narnia. The show will be directed by Hugh Hill, who says there

are parts for young actors of all ages, with a limited number of roles for adults as well.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 29 (2 - 4 pm) and Sunday, August 30 (2 - 4 pm) at the

Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 379 Gay Street, Washington VA 22747. It would be helpful

to register online but not required (raac.org/auditions). Individual auditions can also be

scheduled by appointment if necessary (contact stage manager Beth Plentovich at

ebplen@gmail.com or 540-675-1059 if you can’t come on Aug 29 or 30).
