2025-2026 Bearcat Blast

The Aledo Growth Committee has been working hard on finalizing conceptual designs for a potential future second high school & college and career academy, and they'd like to invite you to a community meeting to learn more and give feedback! Join the AGC:

• 6-7:30 PM
• Thursday, March 5
• Daniel Ninth Grade Campus Cafeteria

We value your feedback - please mark your calendars to join in on this important discussion!

Bearcat Nation, the March 3, 2026 Primary Election is right around the corner! Early voting for the Primary is from Tuesday, February 17 - Friday February 27. There are multiple early voting locations across Parker and Tarrant Counties. Check out the graphic above or visit the Bearcats Vote site for more information.

Aledo ISD has a combination of additional minutes built into the calendar plus we are seeking a waiver from the state to account for the four missed instructional days, so Aledo ISD students and staff will not need to make up those missed instructional days!

Federal Report Cards for the 2024-2025 school year have been posted for Aledo ISD as well as each campus. Federal Report Cards for prior years can be found on the TEA website.

Districts across the state are currently reviewing math course curriculum for adoption and implementation during the 2026-2027 school year. After an in-depth process of evaluation, the Aledo ISD Math Committees have narrowed down the state-approved curriculum options. We would like to offer the opportunity for community members to give feedback as we complete this process. Materials will be available for review in the Aledo ISD Administration Board Room, located at 1008 Bailey Ranch Road, at the following times:

• February 17-20
• February 23-27
• 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

For questions about the math adoption, please contact Deanne Torres at dtorres@aledoisd.org or Candace Summerhill at csummerhill@aledoisd.org.

We are excited to announce a partnership with NTX Varsity Sports to stream a Live Audio Broadcast of this season's Bearcat and Ladycat Basketball, Bearcat Baseball and Ladycat Softball playoff games!

Tune in tonight as the Ladycat basketball team faces Joshua in an Area Round matchup at 6 p.m. on at Godley High School. Streaming is available at https://www.ntxvarsitysports.com!

NTX Varsity Sports is powered by the World Wide Ranch, the parent of 92.1 Hank FM that broadcasts our Bearcat Football games.

Connecting with our community is one of the cornerstones of our success as a school district and what makes being a Bearcat so special. In the past week, we've been busy hosting and presenting to various groups to continue those discussions about how our community can support our students and school. Those connections include:

• 🏆 Our Aledo Presidents' Round Table made up of parent volunteers who head up all of our district booster clubs, PTOs and more met to learn, bounce ideas off each other and ask our leadership team questions.

• 🏦 Superintendent Dr. Susan Bohn spoke at the monthly Parker County Chamber of Commerce luncheon alongside other leaders in our county about property taxes and how they are an investment in our community.

• 🏫 Former Aledo ISD Trustees met to discuss what's going on in Aledo ISD, including an update on enrollment, learning and courses offered, land purchases and building, and more.

• 📚 The Parker County Chamber's Leadership Parker County cohort visited with our curriculum, advanced academics, and career and technical education leaders to learn about the many educational opportunities available for Aledo ISD students.

We are so grateful for the engagement of these groups and how they support our students, staff and community! We call that being All in Aledo!

What a send-off for our Aledo High School Varsity Swim team! Members of the team were celebrated in style out front of Aledo High School as the Aledo community came together to cheer them on before they head to UIL State. Good luck to our swimmers as they make a big splash at State!

The Aledo High School Percussion Ensemble - under the direction of Scott Stephens - performed at the Texas Music Educator's Association convention today in San Antonio! Congratulations to Mr. Stephens and the entire ensemble for this incredible honor!

It's officially the start of Bearcat Baseball season! Show your All in Aledo spirit with your Aledo + Cody Bradford themed Texas Rangers jerseys in adult sizes. Get them while they last!

The Bearcat Store is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Administration Building Lobby. The Aledo ISD Bearcat Store follows the Aledo ISD schedule for closures.

Give the Bearcat Store a like and follow to stay up-to-date on all of our new merch!

As a reminder, we have streamlined absence reporting for all of our campuses for this school year. It is very important that we have documented reasons for absences so that we can ensure your student is given an excused absence when needed. There are many Aledo ISD team members who are doing great work every single day! You can nominate any employee serving in the district for the Circle of Greatness Award.

The intent behind House Bill 1481 is to limit distractions in the classroom and across campus so students can stay focused on learning. As a public school district, our Board of Trustees must adopt a policy that implements the law. Click here or the button below to learn more and check out common frequently asked questions!

Each Aledo ISD student has access to nutritious and delicious meals prepared by our amazing Child Nutrition staff. Breakfast and lunch are served everyday throughout the school week. Click here or the button below to view this month's breakfast and lunch menus.
