FINAL GPA & Class Rank Update
....for the Class of 2025
Viewing GPA
Your most current GPA & class rank (updated April 2025) can be found in Home Access Center. Navigate to "Grades" --> "Transcript" and then look in the lower left hand corner of the screen (see screenshot below for instructions).
The lowest weighted GPA of students in the top ten percent, the first quartile, the second quartile, and the third quartile shall be communicated to all students in the class after each calculation period. Please view QUARTILE STATEMENT FOR VHS, APRIL 2025 (Seniors Only) for the GPA breakdown.
**Students in the top 10% will have their rank listed in Home Access Center in accordance with district policies. Students outside the top 10% do not have a rank and this box will be empty in Home Access Center**
**The information currently in Naviance is out of date. DO NOT REFERENCE NAVIANCE FOR THIS INFORMATION AT THIS TIME.**
Which Courses are Counting in my GPA?
To help students and families see the courses included in their student’s weighted GPA calculation, a new report is available in the Home Access Center. A sample report and instructions for accessing the report are included in this guide: English Guide // Spanish Guide
This report will indicate the courses included in the calculation of the weighted GPA with an X in the left column. Only courses included in the approved curriculum categories will be included on this report. For example, high school credits earned in middle school are not included in the calculation of GPA and are omitted from this report.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS - HOW CAN YOU HELP?
History has told us that parents love to be a part of the slide creation. If you are helping with your senior's slide, please make sure that you are working in Google Slides and not another format - your senior can help you with this, as they are very accustomed to using Google Slides. Also, please make sure you are collaborating with your senior and submitting a single slide - duplicate submissions result in unhappy seniors when their preferred slide is inadvertantly left out : (
WHERE CAN I VIEW THE SLIDESHOW?
- link will be emailed to all seniors & parents/guardians the last week of school
- slideshow will be featured on both the VHS Counseling Website & the VHS Main Page for a time
- slideshow will run on the big screen at the HEB Center prior to graduation beginning
Senior Wrap-Up Meetings // May 7 & 8
We know you're looking ahead to a bright future, but we have some things that require wrapping up here at the high school before graduation! So save the date: on May 7 & 8 we'll be meeting with seniors during their English 4 class periods, or PIT/ACC Off Campus periods for those of you who took ACC English. Again, this is a REQUIRED meeting and should only take 45 minutes of your (class)time. Full details will be posted on the Senior Information page and in the Class of 2025 Google Classroom as the dates approach.
