Notes from MVPS Administration 📝
A message from Principal Heather Vincent
The start of the 2026-27 school year has been filled with new challenges and opportunities. I am incredibly proud of our families for embracing the changes and working through the tough moments. Learning new software, adjusting to new devices, navigating new curriculum pickup sites, and so much more—all during the already busy back-to-school season—is no easy feat. But you did it! We can all do tough things, and our students and families have shown tremendous resilience.
Now that we are several weeks into the school year, it is exciting to see our students settling into routines, building confidence as virtual learners, and creating strong connections with their teachers. The connection between students, families, and teachers is such an important part of the Maize Virtual experience. When we continue to build that connection between home and school, we create a strong foundation for our students to thrive.
Open communication, clear expectations, and student growth celebration all play an important role in helping them thrive as students. Utilizing these skills as part of the team and witnessing positive adult use of these skills will teach real world life skills that extend far beyond the classroom. They will help our students navigate challenges and celebrate successes throughout their lives.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us and support your students as we navigate this school year together. I am so proud to be part of the MVPS community, and I am excited about all that is ahead. Together, we are going to make this our best year yet, Mustangs!
