Happy National School Principal's Day! May 1st
Today, on National School Principal’s Day, we honor the leadership of Mr. Dennis Muehsler. Mr. Muehsler leads by example each and every day. His passion for student success, his support for teachers, and his unwavering belief in what TWHS students can achieve set him apart as an exceptional leader. His ability to connect with students, parents, and staff creates a welcoming and positive environment where students thrive and are always reminded that they are valued.
Thank you, Mr. Muehsler, for your leadership and the positive impact you have on our students, staff, and community. Highlander Nation is very thankful for you!
Today we proudly celebrate Sherri LeDee, Principal of The Woodlands High School 9th Grade Campus. Her leadership lays the groundwork for a campus where students feel supported, challenged, and seen. Mrs. LeDee truly sees the potential of every Highlander who walks through the doors.
Her ability to lead with both strength and compassion has shaped a culture where students grow, and families feel connected. On National School Principal Day, we honor her work, her integrity, and the countless ways she makes TWHS9 a place where excellence is the expectation and community is the heartbeat.
Thank you, Mrs. LeDee, for the impact you make every single day.
TWHS Senior Portraits
TWHS has switched companies for senior portraits. CADY is closer to TWHS and has a bigger studio.
Students have met with their counselor, and course requests for the 26-27 school year were selected. You can view those by following these instructions:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uyty2WPVsvfNOuaROdAk0H2eCU640IcN/view?usp=sharing
We have a new Senior Website! Please refer to the link below to learn about important dates and all things that pertain to the Class of 2026!
Students who wish to take correspondence courses or credit by exams (CBE) will need to meet with their counselor prior to signing up. By taking a course without a counselor permission, you are risking the chance of non-credit.
Incoming Seniors, please be on the lookout for an email from CADY, the photography company that replaced BluMoon. Students will need to take their senior photo with CADY for the yearbook.
Our last Woodlands Wednesday of the year discussed important end of the year information. Please visit

As we look ahead to the end of the semester, we want to share our policy regarding final exam attendance to help you plan accordingly. Final exams are scheduled for May 19-22. Please note that students are not permitted to take final exams early. If a student is unable to attend their scheduled exam due to illness or extenuating circumstances, the following process will apply:
- Reporting Absences: Your student's teacher will report any absences during final exams. Please notify the teacher if you know of a circumstance where you will not be in attendance. This helps us schedule your make up session for late May or June.
- Gradebook Updates: If an exam is missed, a "0" will be entered. This will significantly impact semester averages until the exam is completed and graded. If the exam is not completed, the "0" will remain. It is the family's responsibility to schedule it once the information has been sent out. An email will be sent after the teacher reports that a student missed the exam.
- Exemptions: To maintain exemption status, students must be present in class on the day of the exam. If a student is exempt but absent, a "0" will still be entered until the requirement is met over the summer. If the exam is not completed, the "0" will remain. It is the family's responsibility to schedule it once the information is sent.
- Completion Timeline: All make-up exams must be completed by mid-June. Once graded, updates will be reflected in the Home Access Center as soon as possible.
Students who fail a 1st semester course have the opportunity to gain credit in the 2nd semester if both semesters average to at least a 70. Students who fail the 2nd semester of a course must make it up. Our district offers Summer School for those situations. Please contact your school counselor for Summer School information. You must be invited to attend. Here is the brochure for more information.

● Schedule doctor appointments over the summer so care plans and medications are ready for the first day of school.
● Medications may be checked in starting on schedule pick-up days; lines are typically long on the first day of school. Please watch TWHS social media for those dates.
● Students with chronic conditions who are participating in summer athletics or band must provide care plans and emergency medications to trainers by the first day of practice. If approved to carry items (EpiPen, inhaler, diabetic supplies), they must show them to their coach.

● If your child had a food allergy in the past that is no longer valid, you can request its removal by contacting district Child Nutrition.
● Parents will be given the opportunity to opt out of healthcare at school. Unless you specify “No”, consent is implied.
If your child borrowed clinic clothing, please wash and return it—we have very limited supplies remaining.
Have a safe and healthy summer!

May 11-22 - library closed for lunch and after school
Mornings before school - library open as available depending on testing and construction preparation
