Great News!
Elementary:
- Shout out to Mrs. Kobliska, Mrs. Rugg, and Mrs. North for spending countless late nights in meetings, doing research, and collaborating. Thank you all for showing up with heart, purpose, and unwavering dedication. You make a difference!
- Senior fall athletes took time out of their busy schedules to spend the lunch and recess periods with our kindergarten through 6th grade students. These athletes, leaders both on and off the field, joined our younger students for games, conversations, and plenty of high-fives. It gave our younger students a chance to look up to positive role models who demonstrate the importance of school pride, sportsmanship, and kindness. It also gave our senior athletes a chance to reflect on how far they’ve come and the legacy they’re leaving behind.
- Parent-teacher conferences are October 9-10th. Please remember to turn in your sign up form.
Jr/Sr:
We had our first round of Department PLCs. Thank you to all of the staff who devote so many hours to improve the curriculum, drive instruction through data informed decisions, demonstrate adaptability, and even go as far as covering classes to ensure PLCs can occur.
- Quite a few of our students were able to go to the Renaissance Festival today. This is such a great opportunity, and students were so appreciative and respectful.
- Parent-teacher conferences will be held on October 7th and 8th.
- Our Apprenticeship Parent night is October 8th from 5-6 PM. We cannot wait to showcase our wall and the impact it can have on our students.
District:
- 2026-27 Michigan Teacher of the Year Nominations: The MTOY nomination window is open now until September 24, 2025. The 2026-27 Michigan Teacher of the Year nomination form can be found at the online form.
Bellevue Staff, Students, Families, and Community,
We’ve wrapped up another great week together, and I want to take a moment to recognize the energy, teamwork, and dedication I see each day in our classrooms, hallways, and activities. Whether it’s celebrating small wins with our students, cheering on our teams, or supporting one another, it’s clear that Bellevue continues to move forward with strength and pride.
I would also like to address an essential issue at the state level briefly. As many of you are aware, the state has not yet finalized its budget. While this creates some uncertainty for school districts across Michigan, please be assured that our commitment to our students and community remains a top priority. We will continue to move forward with our plans, focus on providing the best learning environment possible, and keep you informed as we learn more.
Looking ahead, October 1st is an important date for our schools. It’s the official student count day across Michigan. This count plays a significant role in determining funding for our district. Every student matters, every day, and this day especially highlights the importance of strong attendance.
Thank you for your continued support. Bellevue is a special place because of the people in it.
Enjoy your weekend, and let’s keep the momentum going as we head into next week.
Eric McCalla
Superintendent

Bellevue Band
Beginning band is off to a school spirit filled start! The first sounds are coming out loud and clear. This last week the kids learned how to play Go Big Red. We even had a few kids join us at the varsity homecoming game on Friday night. It was wonderful to have some of elementary students playing alongside the high school juniors and seniors.
Way to go beginners, you are off to a great start!
