A Message from Principal Mike Cappucci

Hello Mableton Families!

WOW! What an AMAZING night we had at Trunk or Treat! We had over 1,000 people attend, and it was incredible to see so many of our Mableton families come together for such a fun evening!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated candy, decorated a trunk, volunteered, or simply came out to enjoy the night with us. This event would not have been possible without YOU! Your continued support of our school means so much to us.

I also want to give a special shout-out to our AMAZING Mableton staff. They ALWAYS show up for our students and families and continue to demonstrate what it truly means to be a Champion for Kids!

My own family had the opportunity to attend Trunk or Treat on Friday, and they were overwhelmed with joy seeing how our Mableton families show up and support our school. I couldn't have been prouder!

Nothing Bundt Cakes Fundraiser

This week, we kick off our Nothing Bundt Cakes Fundraiser! This fundraiser has been extremely popular in previous years, and we are excited to bring it back. Be on the lookout for information about how you can participate and support Mableton! (Flyers went home last week).

Veterans Day Parade

If you haven't already, please register yourself or a family member who is currently serving or has previously served in the United States Armed Forces. We would LOVE to have you join us for our Veterans Day Parade as we recognize and celebrate the heroes in our Mableton community. ❤️🤍

Registration information can be found right here in this week's newsletter.

No School Tuesday

As a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday for Election Day.

Thank you again, Mableton Families, for everything you do to support our students, staff, and school. It is your involvement and support that make Mableton such a special place.

Have a GREAT week, Jaguars!

Your Proud Principal,

Mike Cappucci

Honoring our Veterans

At Mableton Elementary, we believe in being CHAMPions in the classroom and beyond, and this Veterans Day, we are proud to celebrate some very special champions — the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the United States military!

🇺🇸 Annual Veterans Day Parade

Our Annual Veterans Day Parade will take place on Monday, November 9 at 8:15 AM! We look forward to coming together as a school community to recognize and celebrate our veterans. More information about the parade will be coming soon!

Veterans Day Recognition Video

We are also creating a special Veterans Day Recognition Video to honor veterans and active-duty military members connected to our Mableton families. The video will be shared with our school community and featured on our school marquee!

If you or a member of your family has served or is currently serving in the military, we would be honored to recognize them.

Please complete our Veterans Day Recognition & Parade Form by Friday, November 6 at 3:00 PM.

Champion Parent Tip of the Week: Help Your Child Set One Small Goal

A new month is a great opportunity for a fresh start. Instead of focusing on everything your child could improve, help them choose just one small, realistic goal. It might be reading for 15 minutes, practicing multiplication facts, remembering homework, improving attendance, or showing more patience with others.

Make the goal specific enough that your child can recognize progress. Instead of “get better at reading,” try “read four nights this week.” Then check in with encouragement rather than pressure: “How is your goal going?” “What is helping?” “What could we change to make it easier to reach?”

Small goals help children experience success and learn that improvement happens one step at a time. Every Jaguar can grow when they have a goal, a plan, and a Champion cheering them on.

Support Our School EVERY TIME you shop- Kroger Rewards

Did you know you can support our students just by doing what you already do — grocery shopping at Kroger? It’s quick, easy, and costs you nothing extra.

By linking your Kroger account to our school through Kroger Community Rewards, a portion of every eligible purchase is donated directly back to our school. There are no fees, no extra steps at checkout, and your fuel points and coupons stay the same.

Even better, this doesn’t stop with just your household. Family members, friends, grandparents, neighbors — anyone who shops at Kroger can link their account to our school, no matter where they live. The more people who participate, the more support our students receive.

Every dollar earned goes directly to our kids. These funds help support student programs, classroom resources, enrichment activities, and special experiences that make school more engaging, exciting, and meaningful for our students.

Thank you for being a Champion for Kids and for supporting our school in such a simple, powerful way. One small step on the app can make a big difference in the lives of our students.

Here is how you do it:

Step-by-Step for Families (App or Website)

Using the Kroger App (most popular):

  1. Open the Kroger app

  2. Tap the ☰ menu (top corner)

  3. Tap Rewards

  4. Select Community Rewards

  5. Search for our school by name or organization number

  6. Select the school and Enroll

Using a Computer:

  1. Go to kroger.com and sign in

  2. Click My Account

  3. Select Community Rewards

  4. Search for the school

  5. Click Enroll

That’s it — once enrolled, every eligible purchase automatically helps the school.

Visitor Entry Procedures

To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and school community, all visitors must adhere to the following procedures when arriving at the school:

  1. Ring the Doorbell:
Upon arrival at the school entrance, visitors are required to ring the doorbell located at the main entrance. This notifies staff of your presence.
  2. Hold ID to the Camera:
After ringing the doorbell, please hold a valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) up to the camera for verification.
🔹 IDs must be in hard copy form. Digital copies or IDs displayed on a phone or other electronic device will not be accepted.
This step helps us confirm your identity before granting entry.
  3. State the Nature of Your Visit:
Once your ID has been shown, speak clearly into the intercom system and state the reason for your visit. Please provide specific details (e.g., meeting with a staff member, student pick-up – include the student’s name, delivering supplies).
  4. Wait for Authorization:
After verification, school staff will authorize your entry.
🚫 Please do not hold the door open for others who have not completed the check-in process.

These measures are in place to maintain a secure and safe environment for everyone at Mableton Elementary. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
