Start to the 2024-2025 School Year

What a wonderful first few days of school! Everything went very smoothly and your children seemed so excited to be back at school. It’s been a lot of fun to watch and listen to them as they explore all the newly renovated spaces. We really can’t thank the community enough for financially supporting this project. We look forward to showing everyone the school at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and/or the Open House. We will announce both dates later this week.

The express loop is working really well. We are going to leave the loop open early in the morning. If you are in the loop before 7:30 please pull quite a ways through the loop. We are hoping that this will keep us from backing up all the way to Hanover Street.

We ask that children only get out on the driver's side where the staff is standing.

If you need more time for drop off, please feel free to park as you did last week.

The blue indicates the Express Drop Off Loop.

The yellow arrows indicate where to enter to park.

The green arrows indicate the morning bus route.

Please don't hesitate to call the school in the morning if you are worried that your child's bus has not shown up. They might be running late for the first week or so of school. If you have other bus concerns, you can contact the transportation department at 298-0832.

As promised, we will continue to introduce a few new staff members in each newsletter. Below are the Welcome Back to School letters that Mrs. Gill (Kindergarten) and Ms. Sousa (4th grade) gave to their new students.

Please set up your child's default method for dismissal in PikMyKid. If we have conflicting dismissal plans for your child, we will follow the dismissal method listed in PikMyKid. If you do not see the bus number available that you need, email the office at HSSoffice@sau88.net and we will add it.

Please remember never to never pass a school bus with flashing yellow lights or a STOP sign displayed.

We are about to finalize a date for our open house. It will be in about 4 weeks. This is an opportunity for you to come with your family members and visit all of the classrooms and see what your child has been doing at school. More details will follow.
