School Safety Month School Safety Month

October is Ohio School Safety Month. HB 583 designated October as School Safety Month in Ohio to increase public awareness of school safety programs and to encourage Ohioans to identify their role in keeping Ohio schools a safe place for students to learn and grow.

WHS was able to partner with local agencies to have a full scale drill at the beginning of August. Our campus supervisor, Dave Gehringer, will be providing education and additional information to 9th and 11th grade students during their classes through the semester. If you are interested in more information, below are some parent and guardian resources.

Parents & Guardians

Parents & Guardians are the first line of support for their students as they return to school this year. Students are returning to school with even more pressure due to COVID-19. Lack of socialization, isolation, loss of instructional time and anxiety are all part of their new reality.
