PTA Weekly Update

Happy New Year Huskie families!
Welcome back! We hope you and your family had a restful winter break. We're jumping right into things this week:
- Bingo for Books is THIS Thursday, January 8 from 6 - 8 p.m. We are in need of a few more volunteers to assist with concessions, set up, and clean up. Please sign up to help out here.
Tile Project submissions and payments are due on Friday, January 9. Details on how to submit your child's artwork can be found below.
The PTA executive committee is planning a lot of fun, educational, and interesting events and programs for the second half of the school year. In addition to the newsletter, check our website for information on how you can support these programs.

Don't miss our annual Bingo for Books fundraising night! Students and their families are invited to attend the Bingo for Books event on Thursday, January 8 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Spring Brook.
- Every student who participates is guaranteed to take home a book.
- Bingo cards, snacks, water, and raffle tickets for exciting prizes will be available for purchase at the event. The event runs from 6-8, but we stop calling numbers around 7:30, so plan your arrival accordingly.
- If you are interested in sponsoring this event donating raffle items, please contact us.
- We cannot do this event without volunteer support. We are in need of concessions help, book table fillers, bingo winner runners, set up and clean up volunteers. Sign up to volunteer here.

The Tile Wall Project is a chance for all Spring Brook students to permanently hang their art on the walls at school. And 55% of proceeds from this fundraiser go back to the PTA.
Time is running out: Forms and payment are due THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 9. Register here.
Please allow up to 48 hours to receive the materials and check your junk mail, the email will come from sb_tilewall@hotmail.com. Students should complete their artwork at home and return finished masterpieces to the school or event coordinator Adrienne Sagen.

A Note from Our Community Relations Chair:
As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.
If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.
January Dough Raising: Chuck-E-Cheese on January 19
When: Monday, January 19
Time: 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Location: Chuck-E-Cheese, 506 S. Rt 59, Naperville 60540
Dough Raising Events are an opportunity to join with others in our Spring Brook Community for fun, food and a little fundraising. Our school will receive 20% donation of all sales generated during the event.
PTA Meeting: January 29
Please join us in the Multipurpose Room for the first PTA meeting of 2026. It will be held on Thursday, January 29 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
The board will meet to discuss upcoming plans, events, and more. You can ask questions, and hear from a guest Spring Brook staff member. Can't attend in person? Join via Google Meet. Login info to come.
Kids Heart Challenge: February 13
We support the American Heart Association each year by participating in the Kids Heart Challenge. Information will be sent home for students to raise funds in support of the American Heart Association's mission. Fundraising efforts will culminate in a a fun-filled day of heart-healthy activity at Spring Brook on February 13.
Parents interested in helping to facilitate the fun can sign up later this month.
Adult Social: February 21
Save the date and book a sitter! The Spring Brook Adult Social is an adults-only night of fun, offering the opportunity to support the efforts of the PTA while meeting other parents and enjoying each other's company. The evening will feature live music, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, wine pull, and silent auction.
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, helping collect auction items, or have items to donate to the auction, please contact us.
Tickets will go on sale in January.
