Head Start Preschool Staff

Gentle reminder to Head Start Preschool Staff!

We will be seeing officials from Licensing, SETA, and the Office of Head VERY SOON!

Do not forget your supervision skills.

No cell phone use in class, make sure you are not standing with your backs to students (leaving them unsupervised), DO YOUR SWEEP, count your kids, and please keep personal conversations among coworkers short! Don't forget to work in ZONES and please, know your numbers.

If there is a sub in your class, please help them understand these rules as well.

Our site has always performed well during observations but performing these best practices and requirements every day, even when no one is observing, will ensure that we have a safe year with no violations!

Secret Boo Sign up

Please sign up by the 10th if you would like to participate in the secret boo gift swap. The exchange will be during the week of October 27th-31st with the big reveal on the 31st. (Rules and sign-up sheet will be in the break room)

Booking Rooms

Room 12 and Rm 16, The rooms may be available for meetings on a case-by-case basis so please check in with me and we can see if we can make it available for you.

Favorites List

Thank you to everyone who turned in your Favorites lists! If you haven't turned them in yet, please do so! (Let me know if you need another copy)

Mascot

RM 4 AND RM 5 it is your turn to take care of Davie the Lion! We can't wait to see where Davie travels this year. Please come check him out and take him to do something fun either with your class or over the weekend if you're doing anything special! Take lots of pictures so we can showcase them on our bulletin board!!!

Birthday Binder

Please turn in your favorites list or come and get one to fill out if you haven't yet! The Birthday Binder is on top of the fridge in the break room if anyone needs to see someone's favorites list, please leave the paper in the binder but feel free to take a picture.

Clothes Closet

Please read the reminders on the clothes closet. Make sure to fold items not used and keep the closet organized. If a child in your class has an accident there are pants, shirts, undies, and socks in there. The sign "Davie Clothes Closet" on the shelf above the sink on the right side has the directions/ reminders when you open it!

Lost and Found Rack

The Lost and Found Rack will be placed outside of the MP Room daily. Please remind parents to check it and that anything left on it at the end of the month will be donated.

Arson Prevention Training

As some of you may know, our campus recently underwent an inspection for the School Insurance Authority (SIA). This is an organization that assists us in maintaining safety on campus! Davie is in a unique location and due to it’s openness and public access, the SIA suggests that we make ourselves aware of ways to prevent arson on our campus.

Health Services - Updated Stop Sign Guidance

Hello from your school nurses,

In looking at the new send home guidance sent out by the district, we have updated our Daily Stop Sign form. In addition, we will no longer be using the Notification of Symptoms form. Please refer to the Daily Stop Sign for questions regarding sending a student home for any new illness or symptom. If you have further questions or are unsure, please contact your school nurse. For any COVID-19 positives or guidance, please contact your administrator.

AED Location

The AED is located in the front office hallway, close to the secretary desk.

The AED is inside a Centas Box that is White.

EpiPen Location

There is an emergency EpiPen box located in the front office hallway, close to the secretary desk.

This box contains two EpiPen's:

Junior's - this is for children that are 33 - 66lbs
Adult's - this is for children and up that are 66lbs and up

The EpiPen Box is Yellow and has a zip tie to keep the contents inside safe.

Injury and Illness Prevention Program Binder (IIPP)

The Injury and Illness Prevention Program Binder is located in the cabinet above the Secretary Desk.

This binder is Red.

Comprehensive School Safety Plan Binder (CSSP)

The Comprehensive School Safety Plan Binder is located in the cabinet above the Secretary Desk.

This binder is White.
