HHS Families,

I want to thank all of our families who took the time to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences this past week! It was great to see so many families in our building, connecting with teachers and having conversations about their students' progress. The partnership between home and school is so important, and we truly appreciate your continued involvement and support!

We also had an awesome turnout for our Post-Secondary Night! It was exciting to see students and families exploring the many opportunities available after high school, including colleges, the military, professional trades, and apprenticeships. Events like this are a great reminder that there are so many different pathways to success, and we want our students to know that they have options as they begin planning for their futures. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success!

As we continue through the trimester, I encourage families to keep checking in with their students about their grades, attendance, and progress in their classes. These conversations at home, along with the support of our teachers, make a difference in helping students stay on track.

Thank you for another great week and for your continued support of Holly High School! We are proud of our Bronchos and the wonderful school community we have!

Attendance Reminders for Parents & Students

Excused Absences:

Students may be excused for illness (with a doctor’s note within 5 days), recovery from an accident, court attendance, professional appointments, a death in the immediate family, religious holidays, or other approved reasons.

Tardies & Prompt Arrival:
Arriving on time shows respect, responsibility, and helps maintain a productive learning environment. A tardy of 10+ minutes counts as an absence. Habitual tardiness (6+ times) can lead to warnings, after-school detentions, or suspension.

Sign-In Procedures:

• Arriving after 7:24 a.m.: Sign in at the Student Kiosk.

• Visiting offices during the day: Sign in with the secretary.

Student Responsibility:
Students are responsible for being present and on time. Consistent attendance supports academic success.

Reporting Absences:
Call the Attendance Office at 248-328-3227 with your child’s name, date, and reason for absence.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

Below is an updated schedule for this Fall's College visits!! They will be held in room B120. Please sign up in the Student Office!!!

We have a field trip planned to tour Mott Community College and U of M Flint on Friday, October 9th. This is open to any Junior or Senior interested and is first come first serve. Permission forms will be available in the Student Office with Mrs. Cook and will also be returned to her.
