RBHS January BRIDGE Communication
Rock Bridge High School Newsletter: January 20, 2026
Mission: Rock Bridge High School is a community in which ALL students and staff inspire each other to become lifelong learners.
Rock Bridge High School Families,
Thank you for a wonderful start to second semester! Student grades from first semester were available to families through Campus Parent on January 9th. If you've not already done so, please sit down with your RBHS Student and spend a little time reflecting on first semester. What went well? Are there any changes to make that would benefit your student's academic performance? We enjoy partnering with you in helping all our students achieve their goals.
It is currently enrollment season for the 2026-27 school year, so this month's BRIDGE is mostly dedicated to information about that process. Please read carefully and talk with your student about the courses they are considering for next year.
Below you will find information about the following.
- RBHS 2026-27 Course Selection Information
- Rock Bridge High School Course Fair
- CACC Enrollment Information
- January Attendance Update

RBHS 2026-27 Course Selection Information
Hello Bruin Families!
Course selection for the 2026-27 school year started yesterday! Teachers have been talking about course options in their content areas, 9th graders received Course Selection information during Advisory, and Sophomores and Juniors received their Course Selection information and materials through class meetings last week.
All RBHS 9th – 11th grade students should be bringing home their Course Requests forms and selection materials, so you can review the information together. Be sure to read this email in its entirety as it will provide important Course Selection information so you can support your student through this process.
As we get into the thick of Course Selection Season, counselors will have limited availably and are unable meet with students outside of the designated dates already determined for student advisement (see Course Selection Dates below). To help support students who may have questions before they are able to meet with their counselor, I would specifically like to highlight a couple of resources:
- The Course Selection FAQs that you can find linked HERE

There will be a short Q&A period following the presentation.
CACC Enrollment Information
We would like to share information about the Columbia Area Career Center (CACC) and the wide range of career-focused learning opportunities available to students.
CACC offers hands-on courses that allow students to explore career interests, develop real-world skills, earn industry experience, and prepare for future education and careers.
Helpful Resources for Families:
• CACC Course Guide (Digital)
• CACC Showcase Flyer (Most Important)
Families are encouraged to review these resources and attend the CACC Showcase on 1/21 from 5:30-7:30 to learn more about programs, meet instructors, and explore the many pathways available to students.
For additional information, please contact your school counselor or reach out to CACC directly.
January Attendance Update
Last year, we had approximately 82.8% of students in attendance 90% of the time. This year we want to raise this number by 3% points moving our overall percentage of students who attend 90% or greater to over 85%.
A student would need to miss 25 days of school in single year to have attendance lower than 85%. We are confident that we can achieve our goal!
In the image below, you can see a comparison of our attendance at the conclusion of first semester. So, as of right now, we are over 2 percentage points higher this year than we were at the same time last school year. If we can maintain our current attendance percentages, we will achieve our goal. Thank you for your support in our efforts!
Annual Performance Report and School Climate Feedback for RBHS
This is a repeat from the November BRIDGE Communication. The information here is important enough to share again!
Each year Rock Bridge High School receives a comprehensive review of our school performance based on two primary factors: performance and continuous improvement. This comprehensive review is known as our Annual Performance Report, APR. This report is received annually and provides data from the previous school years performance. The performance section of the report contains our overall student achievement in English, Math, Science and Social Studies, based on the Missouri Assessment Program, or End of Course Exams (EOCs), Test. These exams occur in Government, English 10, Biology, Algebra 1 and some Algebra 2.
Yearly our staff, students and families complete a Climate Survey in October. The video linked below has that data included as well as our 2024-25 APR.
