A Note from Mrs. Solomon and Mrs. Salto
A great week of spirit was had! Thank you to the PTO for the "choose a book for spring break" reading! We are so appreciative for all that our PTO does for us and our students.
Next week is spring break, we hope everyone enjoys the time either relaxing or traveling safely. Following spring break we return to completing our IAR assessments in Math for 3rd - 5th grade students. Our schedule will look different the week we return for spring break with lunches at different times and specials.
We hope everyone has a great week off of school and we will see you when you return on Monday, April 6th.

ATTENDANCE POLICY UPDATES
D303 Attendance Procedures Update
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
NEW VACATION POLICY:
The pre-arranged absence form and procedure are no longer in use
Vacations during school days are discouraged and will be considered unexcused absences
This change aligns with our commitment to maximizing instructional time for all students
We recognize that families sometimes need flexibility for travel or special circumstances. While we strongly encourage scheduling family trips during school breaks and holidays, we understand that this isn't always possible. We ask for your partnership in minimizing absences during the school year whenever feasible.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
