Purple Up! For Military Kids Day
Our Military Child Celebration Day is Wednesday, April 19th. April is the Month of the Military Child. Father Andrew White School will celebrate “Purple Up! For Military Kids Day” by allowing all of our students to wear purple in honor of and in support of all military children. (Please wear uniform bottoms with your purple tops.)
“Purple indicates support for all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces through the combination of their colors; therefore, Purple Up! Day signifies unifying support for military-connected children within all branches of the military and at all levels of service. This day offers military families, their support communities, and others who have connections with service members and their families the chance to recognize and thank military-connected children for their unique contributions, strengths, and sacrifices."

You can sign up HERE to bake some goodies or to volunteer your time at the bake sale itself.
Spring Uniforms are in Effect
Please ensure that your student's uniform is compliant. Remember to check that your student has a belt that fits, buttons are secure on skirts and haircuts are the proper length. Also, our students love to be active at recess! Please ensure your child wears shorts under jumpers or skirts. Thank you for your support and cooperation!
Log Your Volunteer Hours
Please remember to keep your logged volunteer hours up to date! You should have about 19 hours by this point to be on track for your 25 hour requirement (for Service Scholarship families).
Destination Imagination Global Finals 2023!
We are excited to announce that two of our Destination Imagination (DI) teams from Father Andrew White School are two of the top-scoring DI teams in the state of Maryland and now have the opportunity to present their Challenge solution at the DI Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri —an international competition where they will compete against teams from around the globe.
Please consider donating to help these teams get to the Globals competition!! Destination Imagination is an educational, academic program that has helped our students learn and practice valuable skills like creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork through different competitive, STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) Challenges.
The teams are working hard to raise the $5,500/team registration fee plus the almost $1,000/student it will take to get them there to experience this amazing opportunity! Raising $20K in only one month’s time is daunting, but they are DItermined!!! Every gift is a blessing and we truly appreciate your support! Thank you so much for your contributions.

Nutrition 101: All of God's creation is magnificent, but one of the most fascinating parts to me is the human body. As humans we need nourishment. Our minds and spirits need a constant supply of God's Word and reminders of His presence. Our physical bodies need nourishment in the form of food and water. Unfortunately, many of us replace our "needs" with "wants;" and this has led to a society where many people "live to eat" rather than "eat to live." Food is essential for providing energy and essential nutrients that our bodies need to function properly. Information on what's good for us and what's not is often confusing and overwhelming. As a general rule, I recommend eating a variety of foods and "everything in moderation." If you or your children don't have the best diets, sometimes supplements can be helpful. Try your best to choose wisely what you put into your body, and remember "You are what you eat!"
