๐คฉ The NEW Reynolds is Loading...๐คฉ
The NEW Reynolds is loading, and we are already seeing the glimmer of some GREAT things ahead! Our new awning is expected to be completed toward the end of September, and brand-new, top-tier furniture is coming to our classrooms later this year. Once everything is complete, our building will offer a learning environment that truly sets Reynolds apart in this region. We are also proud to share that our 2026 TEA Accountability Rating increased 10 points, moving from a 64 (D) in 2025 to a 74 (C) in 2026! We also earned an Academic Achievement Distinction in Science! But weโre not stopping here! Our sights are set on a B (or higher!), and we are confident that together, we can reach it!
As exciting as all of these changes and accomplishments are, the transformation of our building is only part of the Reynolds story. A beautiful building will never be what makes Reynolds most special. Itโs the glowing constellation of teachers, leaders, and staff inside of it who love our little Dillos, bring JOY to learning, and make Reynolds feel like HOME. To us, there simply is no comparison.
We appreciate your patience as this transformation continues. We know the process is taking time, but we are confident the finished product will be well worth the wait and something our students, staff, and Reynolds community will enjoy for years to come!
Check out the rendering below for a glimpse of what Reynolds will look like when itโs complete!

๐ฆบStandard Response Protocol (SRP)
What is the Standard Response Protocol? A uniform, planned, and practiced response to any incident is the foundation of a safe school. The SRP is action-based, flexible, and easy to learn. It organizes tactics for response to weather events, fires, accidents, intruders and other threats to student safety. By conducting drills and having emergency operations plans on every campus, it is the goal of the District to be prepared for any incident which may occur.
๐จ TRAFFIC FLOW PLAN - PLEASE READ ๐จ
๐จA Few Reminders
Please follow all posted traffic signs and staff directions.
Please use designated crosswalks
Drive slowly and remain alert for students and crossing guards.
For the safety of all students, please do not stop or unload outside of the designated areas.
๐ Car Rider Important Information ๐
๐ Car Rider Updates: Please Read ๐
As valued partners in your childโs education, we want to ensure that our car rider procedures run as smoothly and efficiently as possible for everyone involved. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support in following these procedures.
Here are a few friendly reminders to assist us in streamlining the process:
๐ Stay in Your Vehicle:
Please remember to remain in your vehicle during drop-off and pickup. Our staff will be on hand to assist your child in getting into the car safely. โก๏ธ If you need to secure your child in their seat, please pull forward to the end of the line so traffic can continue moving for other families.
๐ท๏ธ Display Car Rider Tags Clearly:
Please be sure to display it clearly on your dashboard or rearview mirror. This helps us identify your child quickly and load them efficiently. Weโve included examples below to show the best placement.
๐ข Practice Car Rider Numbers:
We kindly ask that you practice it with your child. This small effort can make a big difference in helping our staff locate numbers quickly and getting your child to you without delay.
๐ Transportation Changes:
If transportation changes need to be made, we ask that these be communicated by 2:30 PM. For the safety of our students, we do not make transportation changes after this time (unless it's an emergency situation). We need to be able to ensure that our transportation expectations are clear and set before dismissal begins.
โฐ Late Pickups:
All car riders will need to be picked up before 3:55 PM. If you arrive after this time, you will need to come inside with your I.D. and fill out the Late Pickup Form with our front office staff.
Thank you for your continued partnership!
~Ms. Perea
๐ Front Walkers Important Information ๐
โก๏ธ๐ซArrival
Students should cross at the Gladerbrook & Gladeridge crosswalk and follow the designated walking path toward the school entrance. For everyoneโs safety, please stay on the designated walking path and DO NOT walk through the parking lot, as this area is reserved for bus traffic.
๐ซโก๏ธDismissal
๐ธGrades 3โ5 Walkers (and PK-2 siblings with written parental approval ) will be escorted to our crosswalks and crossed safely. Students will be walked to the stop sign at the corner of Gladebrook and Gladeridge, where they will meet parents or walk into the community. Once students leave campus, to ensure safety, they are not allowed to return unless there is an emergency situation.
๐จReminder: The park across from Reynolds no longer allows students to wait there to be picked up by families. If you walk to pick up your child, please ensure you are on time for dismissal, once students are released in the community they can not wait at the park.๐จ
๐จPre-K through 2nd-grade students will be picked up on the side of the school by the fence, as noted on the map. Front Walker Dismissal begins at 3:25 and ends at 3:35 PM sharp. At 3:35 PM, students who have not been picked up will be escorted to the front foyer. If you arrive after 3:35 PM, you will need to wait until bus and daycare traffic has cleared before entering the front office, as the front entrance is dedicated to safely completing dismissal during this time. Once traffic has cleared, a parent/guardian must present a valid ID and sign the student out.
Repeated Late Pickups: To help us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process, after three (3) documented late walker pickups, a studentโs dismissal method may be changed from walker to car rider. We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may occur and will take those situations into consideration.
๐จPlease remember: The front drive is reserved for buses. No walker parent pickups will be permitted in the front drive.
๐Parents, please, please walk through the crosswalk and return through the crosswalk. Our goal is to prevent any potential safety concerns by ensuring that everyone uses the designated crossing area.
โ Your cooperation will make a big difference in keeping our dismissal process efficient and safe for all. We truly appreciate your commitment to following these guidelines, which are designed with the safety and well-being of our Armadillos in mind.
๐ปBack Walkers Important Information๐ป
๐ธBack Walkers are released through the gate at the back of the school.
Staff will escort students through the gate leading into the back neighborhood. Once students leave campus, to ensure safety, they are not allowed to return unless there is an emergency situation. Staff will dismiss our kiddos from Back Walker Dismissal up until 3:35 PM. After this time, they will be escorted to the front foyer, and parents will be required to bring proper ID ๐ชช and sign their child out from the front office.
Thank you for helping us keep our Back Walker safe and organized!
๐ Bus Rider Important Information ๐
๐ Need to Know Your Student's Bus Route? ๐
๐ Bus Riders Reminder: Only Smart Tags issued for the current school year can be used. Tags from previous years will not work.
The SMART tagโข system helps increase safety and security for students riding on a school bus, leveraging technology to improve student management and communications on school buses.
SMART tagโข monitors the location of each tablet-equipped school bus, including student loading and unloading, providing real-time information to the Transportation Department, and you, the parent. Check out more information here !
๐จ๐ Pre-K & Kindergarten Bus Riders
Parents/guardians will receive a PIN number from Transportation for bus dismissal. Please share this PIN with anyone who may receive your child at the bus stop. For your childโs safety, the PIN is required every day, from the first day of school through the last day of school. Students will not be released from the bus without the correct PIN number. ๐จPlease be at the bus stop when the bus arrives. If no one is present with the correct PIN, your child will remain on the bus and be returned to the school.
Make sure to register!
Download the Parent App from the app store or scan the QR code, and register to take advantage of the SMART tagโข Parent Features.
