Middle School - 4/16
Middle School Update - April 16, 2026
Principal's Note
Just like that, we are already halfway through April. This week has been busy celebrating our Middle School baptisms during Chapel and preparing our staff and students to serve in many ways throughout our community on Friday.
Next week, our students will take our Spring NWEA MAP test. While testing can sometimes feel overwhelming, we view it as an opportunity to celebrate the growth your child has made and to identify how we can best support them in the coming months. We encourage our students to approach these assessments with a spirit of excellence, knowing that their value lies in Christ, not in a test score. We ask for your partnership in ensuring they are well-rested and have a nutritious breakfast to help them perform their best.
Weekly Updates and Events

Mustang Moments: Gym Class
Recently, a handful of our 7th grade students have stayed in the gym to assist our Kindergarteners during their PE skating unit. From the tricky task of tightening and securing skates to offering a steady hand, our 7th graders are embodying what it means to be Christlike.
Chapel Recap:4/14 Baptism Chapel
What an exciting chapel we had this week! Five high school students and three middle school students decided to be baptized and publicly announce their faith in Jesus Christ. This is what we are all about at Maranatha Christian Academy. Nothing gets us more elated than witnessing students live out their relationship with Jesus. Congratulations to those who got baptized this week!
Seek the King, He is so worth it!
Upper School Serve Day April 17th
Being the Hands and Feet of Christ
Dear Families,
This Friday, April 17, our students will be stepping outside the classroom for our annual Serve Day. This is a highlight of our year at Maranatha Academy, where we shift our focus from ourselves to our community, acting as the hands and feet of Christ.
Our middle and high school students will serve in groups to tackle specific projects, while our other grades will be assigned to various service sites and campus-based tasks.
Timeframe: 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM (Students will return to campus for lunch).
Student Expectations
To ensure we serve effectively and safely, please help us remind your student of the following:
Attire: Students should wear dress code with comfortable, work-appropriate pants and comfortable walking/closed-toe shoes during Serve Day. Dress for the weather if service is happening outside of the building.
Heart of Service: We are guests of our host sites. We expect students to be respectful of their surroundings and to immediately follow the directions of their advisors and site coordinators.
NWEA Spring MAP Testing April 20-24
As mentioned above, our final testing window of the year is approaching. These assessments are a valuable tool to measure the academic growth your student has achieved since our fall and winter testing sessions. To partner with us in setting them up for success, please ensure your student is prepared for the coming tests and they get a good night of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time each testing day.
