First Grade Newsletter- Week 6
September 25th
CLASS NEWS
Dear 1st Grade Parents,
Our classrooms were buzzing with “ah-ha!” moments this week! The students did a wonderful job exploring relationships and making real-life connections to addition and subtraction sentences.
In reading, we worked on comprehension strategies, focusing on how to retell the stories we read. In writing, we continued practicing our Writer’s Workshop model and began authoring personal narrative stories based on our own experiences.
Next week, please send in one photo with your child to help spark a special memory for their writing. The photo can be from a vacation, birthday party, extracurricular activity, holiday, family event, or any other memorable moment.
Have a wonderful weekend!
