Evergreen Middle School - October 16, 2026
Principal's Corner
Evergreen families,
As we wrap up our fall sports season this week and next Tuesday with football, I want to recognize the great participation we’ve had from our Grizzlies! More important than wins and losses, I hope our student-athletes have had fun, developed their skills, built confidence, and learned the value of teamwork and perseverance. We are proud of the effort and commitment they have shown throughout the season!
Looking ahead to next week, please remember that middle school conferences are October 21–23 and no school on October 26th. We hope you enjoy the extended break and the opportunity to spend some extra time together. Because next week is a shorter week, we will not be sending out a newsletter.
Have a great weekend!
Tim

From Our EMS Counselors
Important Counselor Lesson: Suicide Prevention/Depression Awareness Lessons
During the first two weeks of November, our school counselors will be entering classrooms to deliver a vital lesson on Suicide Prevention/Depression Awareness. This instruction utilizes the district-approved Erika's Lighthouse curriculum, which focuses on depression awareness and mental health education. This program aims to teach students how to recognize signs of depression in themselves and their peers, how to seek help, and the importance of supporting one another. If you have any questions about the curriculum or would prefer that your child opt-out of this lesson, please contact your school counselor directly by October 28th.
