If your student was absent for school picture day (Friday, August 22nd) don't worry!
- There will be a makeup opportunity for anyone who was absent. The make up picture day is on Friday, September 26th.

- After September 19th all orders will be processed and shipped directly to REDWOOD.
- Staff will distribute orders to students once they arrive on campus.
For students using CVUSD chromebooks this year it is STRONGLY recommends that you purchase the $25 device protection this year. This will cover ONE replacements device due to damage or loss. Student must bring their CHARGED device to school EVERY DAY. Teachers will check for devices daily during period 1. Our office will have limited loaner devices available as needed for students, however consequences will apply if a students requires a loaner chromebook more than once/week.
- All Viking are responsible for their school issued device. Devices that are lost/damage may result in replacement costs of up to $400. Please plan ahead and purchase the chromebook protection TODAY.

We are looking for a few brave helpers to coach girls volleyball (grade 7/8) or boys soccer (grade 7/8). We can only run teams that we have coaches for so if you're interested please email Kristi Keener kkeener@conejousd.org
- Boys Basketball with Coach Costa - Tryouts will be held on August 27th - 29th at 3:30 in the Redwood gym. All grades are welcome, however, please note that the Teen Center league is grade 7 and 8. Any 6th grade student who makes a basketball team will be playing up on the 7th/8th grade leagues.
- Girls Volleyball with Coach Murphy - Tryouts will be held September 2nd -3rd at 3:30pm in the Redwood gym. This is a developmental league and the only team of 6th grade students in the Teen Center sports program.
- If we get a coach for girls volleyball 7th/8th or boys soccer 7th/8th there will be tryout information shared.
Save the date for this year's Back To School Night event at Redwood. This is wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to see your student's classrooms and learn about what they will be doing this year! Mark your calendars and we hope to see many parents/guardians on September 11th period A 5:45pm and period 1 starts at 6:00pm. Additional details to follow.
- Back to School Night is an adult only event.
Similar to previous years Redwood has a phone free campus during school hours. Cell phones, watches being used for communication, or airpods must be turned OFF AND AWAY THE ENTIRE SCHOOL DAY. Thanks for helping us keep our students engaged and attentive during school hours.
- Students will turn phones into the office and families notified if there are concerns with your student not following this policy.
- Students do not need phones at school. There are phones in classrooms and in the office that students may use to communicate with a rides, parents or guardians.
- This organization supports many activities and recognitions on campus throughout the year.

Please review with your child to understand the behavior standards and expectations at Redwood and in the District, as well as the policies for cell phones and all electronic devices. Staff will also reinforce behavior expectations at the start of school year.
