Lincoln Elementary- February 2024
What a great month we have had at Lincoln Elementary! Our student have experienced great growth in their learning, had their first snow days of the year, and have had many fun activities in their classroom and around the school! This next month will continue to be just as fun and go by even faster. I look forward to seeing all our families at conferences and celebrating your student!

Physical Education is FUNdamental
3rd through 5th grade students have been doing their Gymnastics unit where they learned a variety of different skills that move their body across a space in a variety of different twists, turns, rolls, weight transfers, and balances. We ended the unit using gymnastic equipment, the rockwall, and making a variety of different human pyramids.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade have been learning a variety of different ways of moving their body through space such as forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and round offs. They have also worked on twisting and balancing their bodies in a variety of different positions to increase flexibility, strength, and balance. We ended the unit doing over 20 different stations to increase their general spatial awareness, muscular strength, balance, and enjoyment of physical activity.
