The Mustang Connection

We’re officially more than a month into the 2026–2027 school year, and it has been great seeing our Mustang community get involved! 💙🐎

We’ve already had several activities and events, and we truly appreciate every family, staff member, and community member who has participated, volunteered, donated, purchased concessions or spirit wear, and supported the PTA.

There is still so much more to come this school year! If you haven’t already, we encourage you to join the Lake Olympia Middle School PTA. We would love to have you be a part of our PTA community and help us continue supporting our students, teachers, staff, and families.

Be sure to check out our PTA newsletter each month for upcoming events, important dates, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, spirit wear updates, and more ways to get involved and Rep the Herd! 💙🐎

The LOMS Homecoming Dance will take place in the LOMS Commons from 6:00–9:00 PM. Tickets are $20 per student and include entry to the dance, food, and drinks while supplies last.

Additional items will be available for purchase at concessions. Come dressed to impress, enjoy the music, hang out with friends, and make some unforgettable Homecoming memories! 🎶

✨ All ticket sales are final and nonrefundable, with no exceptions.

We’re looking for parent and community volunteers to help make the LOMS Homecoming Dance a success! Volunteers are needed to assist with decorating and setup, concessions/food, student check-in, monitoring areas during the dance, and cleanup. Whether you can help before, during, or after the event, we would appreciate your support. All campus volunteers must complete the FBISD VIPS application and receive approval before volunteering.

If you’re interested in helping, please complete our Homecoming Volunteer Sign-Up so we can coordinate assignments and times.

The LOMS PTA is kicking off our Battle of the Grades Hydration Drive from August 31 through September 30!

We’re asking families to donate bottled water, Gatorade, juice boxes or pouches, and powdered sports drink mix to help keep our Mustangs hydrated throughout the school year. Every drink donated earns one point for your student’s grade level, so be sure to place donations in the correct grade-level collection bin. At the end of the drive, the grade with the most donations will win Music or a DJ During Lunch! 🎶🏆

Every donation makes a difference, so let’s see which grade can come together and Hydrate the Herd!

Stay connected and come out to support our Lake Olympia student-athletes throughout the season. Check out the sports schedules below for upcoming games, meets, and matchups, and make plans to cheer on our Mustangs! Whether they’re competing at home or on the road, let’s Rep the Herd and show our athletes that the Mustang community is behind them. Go Mustangs!

Which grade will come out on top: 6th, 7th, or 8th?

Our PTA Membership Drive begins August 31! The grade level with the highest PTA membership by September 30 will win a SPECIAL DRESS DAY just for their grade level! 🎉

Join the Lake Olympia Middle School PTA and help support our students, teachers, staff, and school programs. Every membership makes a difference!

💙 Parents, students, staff, grandparents, and community members can join.

No volunteer hours required!
