GRADE CHECKS AT BHS
Students' grades are checked every week with their Advisory teacher as well as weekly by the Dean of Students. When students are failing 3 or more classes for 2-3 consecutive weeks, they meet with the Dean to discuss concerns and ways to help. Every student that meets with the Dean for failing grades or attendance is placed on a contract to notify parents of the school's concern and to ensure students are able to meet the graduation requirements. Resources we have available for struggling students include Student Collaboration on Wednesdays & Thursdays and After-School Tutoring on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. If you have concerns about your student's grades, please reach out to their teachers for help or contact the Dean of Students for additional assistance.

FALL SPORTS
Our fall sports are starting to come to an end. We had a very busy and exciting month of October.
Golf competed for the first time in the fall season. They had a good season transitioning from a spring sport to fall sport. We came away with 1 qualifier, Parker Christiansen who headed to the state tournament.
Girl’s Soccer finished the season with their best upset against Idaho Falls in the district tournament.
Boy’s Soccer had a great season and came away with a State 3rd place finish over their rival Idaho Falls. Thank goodness for those penalty kicks!
Cross Country has been running their hearts out. Our boy’s team took 3rd at districts, Matt Thomas took 1st at district and Emily Despain qualified as well. They will be headed to compete at state soon.
Volleyball has had its fair share of ups and downs. They were the 5th seed headed into districts. They came back and eliminated 3 teams to qualify for state. This was a very big accomplishment since the last time they went to state was way before these girls were even born back in 1978!
Football has enjoyed playing in this warm fall weather. They are currently continuing their run for a state title. They beat Bonneville at their Senior night game and we had one of our seniors Ja’Vonte King named Athlete of the week the week of October 10-15.
Great job fall sports!
Winter sports are now starting to get underway. Girls’s basketball tryouts will be happening the first of November with a parent meeting November 3rd @ 6:45 pm in the Library. Wrestling will hold a parent meeting November 3rd @ 7:00 pm in the old gym. Boy’s basketball will be having tryouts the 3rd week of November with a parent meeting to follow as well. Go Broncos!
