Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in volunteering on campus? Volunteering is a powerful way for families to connect with their community, teach valuable life lessons to children, and make a meaningful impact. By giving your time and talents, you not only help those in need but also strengthen family bonds and instill a sense of compassion and responsibility in your children. Volunteering together fosters a spirit of kindness and teamwork that will benefit your family and the community for years to come.

If you are interested in serving on our Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) committee, please reach out to Andrea Tapia at atapia@lvjusd.org

We are also looking for parents/families interested in sharing their talent during after school clubs. If you have a talent you would like to share with our Wildcat community, please

A Call for Altamont Creek School Site Council Members

Be Part of Our Team!

Altamont Creek Elementary School seeks FOUR new parent members to serve on its School Site Council for the 2025-2026 academic year. The School Site Council meets four times a year and meetings are open to the public. Members serve a 2-year term.

According to GreatSchools.org “The school site council (SSC) is a group of teachers, parents, classified employees and students (at the high school level) that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are generally elected by their peers. For example, parents elect the parent representatives and teachers elect teachers.”

“Successful school site councils, regardless of their specific agendas, are more than a “rubber stamp” committee, and always ask thoughtful and challenging questions.

School Site Council members don’t just represent their own interests. They have an obligation to make decisions that will best serve the whole school community.”

If you are interested, or would like to nominate someone, please fill out the bottom portion of this form and return it to the office no later than Friday, September 5.

Elections will be held electronically shortly after the application deadline.

Breakfast & Books

This year again we will be offering "Breakfast & Books" in the MPR daily from 8:00-8:20am to all students. This Breakfast and Books time will be spent eating breakfast, followed by reading or engaging independently with other learning/studying. Chromebooks are not allowed during this time.

Drop Off/ Pick Up Procedures

Drop Off

  • The school gates will open at 8:15AM.
  • Families are invited onto the blacktop to stay with their child until the bell rings. Families are encouraged to walk the track. Playground and equipment will not be available.
  • At 8:27AM the bell rings. Grades TK/K will line up. Students in Grades 1-5 will walk straight to their classroom.

In an effort to increase efficiency of drop off we have several options for families!

1 – Bike Riders/Scooter Riders – Please remind your Wildcats to ALWAYS walk their bike/scooter when they arrive on campus. They may safely keep their bikes/scooters in the bike park area in front of the school.

2 – Walkers/Walking Buses – We HIGHLY encourage our students to walk to school. It promotes health and is great for our environment. Please arrange a meeting space to meet your child after school. The field is a great place to quickly meet your Wildcat right after school.

3 – Valet - We will have ONE valet drop off lane.

******ALL CARS ENTERING ACE MUST TURN RIGHT INTO THE PARKING LOT – NO LEFT TURNS!******

After you pull into the driveway, stay on the inside lane and safely pull all the way forward. Once the car has safely stopped, your child may exit through the passenger side and onto the sidewalk. They will walk toward the big gates and enter the blacktop until the 8:27AM bell.
