The Weekly Buzz
From Palmer River Elementary School
April 17, 2026
Dear PRES Community,
We had another great week as we head into April break. This week, our school was featured at the School Committee meeting for a Spotlight Presentation. Thank you to the students and staff who participated and helped showcase the many wonderful things happening at PRES. We are incredibly proud of our school and always appreciate the opportunity to share our work with the community.
This week, we also celebrated Autism Acceptance with a school-wide spirit week. Each day, students and staff participated by wearing hats, team jerseys, and favorite outfits, while engaging in activities such as solving puzzles, coloring puzzle pieces, and reading books about neurodivergence.
These experiences helped foster greater awareness, understanding, and empathy across our school community, reinforcing our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
We hope everyone enjoys a relaxing and enjoyable vacation week. We look forward to welcoming everyone back as we begin the final stretch of April, May, and June and finish the school year strong!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kristine Kefor, Principal and Mrs. Cassey Monte, Assistant Principal

Arts & Cultural Vitality Survey for Families
We are excited to share that Mrs. Beaulieu is participating in the district’s Arts & Cultural Vitality DESE grant this year. As part of this initiative, they have created a brief survey to gather your thoughts and feedback. Your responses will directly influence the development of our curriculum and the cultural events we offer in our schools. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few moments to complete the survey linked below. Thank you for your time and support.
The Mystery Hatch is Back!

Branding Survey
Earlier this month, a group of DR community members came together to discuss the possibility of expanding our green and gold Falcon branding across the district. There was strong support to continue exploring the idea, with potential benefits including a more unified district identity and the ability to celebrate Falcon pride at every grade level. At the same time, the group emphasized the importance of honoring each school’s unique identity and traditions. As we continue this conversation, community feedback will play a vital role, please share your thoughts in this survey
