September 11: May We Never Forget
This week we have our first of our parent series that we are bringing BACK this year! It is our Parent and Pizza Night hosted by our district's amazing social workers! This Wednesday night, you will be given an introduction to our social and emotional learning curriculum, 7 Mindsets. Please see the information below and let us know you are coming so that we have enough pizza for all!
Students have 1 week to make sure I have purple hair! Our Glow Bash is Saturday, September 17th from 7-9pm. This is such a fun night and we are opening it up to the entire community! Please, come check out local organizations and businesses in our Community Fair in the gym. We will also have the school open for all to check out since the construction has completed. There are still some projects we are still working on, but we are excited to share the transformation with you and all of the district patrons! We have food trucks and fun all lined up, please plan to join us!
We have completed our screenings and you will be hearing from your child's teacher regarding how they did and what level of interventions your child will receive throughout the school day. We have a Parent Information Night on September 21st where you can learn all about our screenings, our system of supports, the assessments we use, and more! I cannot stress how great this night is for parents to attend - wonderful information! Childcare is provided AND each family can enter to win lunch on the playground for their child's entire class!
All the informational flyers are below - check them out and make plans now to attend!
It's hard to believe the events of September 11th were 21 years ago. May you cherish the time you have with your loved ones in this amazing country of ours!
Have a great week, Wildcats.

BES GLOW BASH 2022
The Glow Bash is our version of the popular fundraiser, the walk-a-thon. Donation forms and envelopes were sent home with students on Friday. We ask that they collect donations from friends, family, and neighbors. If they are unable to collect donations, we ask you and your family to still join us for the Glow Bash!
The evening of September 17th, we will have the school open for the community to check out all the new updates! The Glow Bash activities will all be at Wildcat Stadium. We will have music, games, food trucks, and a Glow Shop where kids can purchase additional glow items for the night.
BES used to host a community business/organization fair along with Back to School Night when I first started teaching here. It was so much fun. Every local business, church, club, troop, etc. would come and set up a table in the gym with all their information and even have freebies that people could take like pens, frisbees, and other promotional items. It was a fun way to connect the community! We are bringing that back this year. Please register your business or organization here: https://forms.gle/xoYvVkySgTQzm1Dz6
