Saying Goodbye
As we embark on our goodbye rituals for the Class of 2026, it's worth recognizing that we haven't a playbook for students in grades 9,10, and 11. Where are the rituals for students, parents, and teachers to say goodbye? To that end, we've decided to open up the Commons on Friday morning, May 29th, for a goodbye get-together for our parents. Beginning at 8 am, we'll have coffee and doughnuts and a space to gather. Come say goodbye to fellow parents and your favorite principal. (Yes, Mrs. Rains will be there) We'll keep the Commons open until 10:30 when the Honors Assembly/ Class Day festivities begin. Parents are welcome to stay for that, too.
On Friday, May 29th, we'll be celebrating the Baccalaureate Mass at 5:00 with Bishop Ramon. All students and parents are welcome to attend. Graduation will take place the next day at noon. Again, this event is open to the public.
The next week, we'll prepare final transcripts. Teachers will be wrapping up their employment on June 2nd; all other staff members on June 5th. I'll be here until the end of June to complete all transcript requests and other loose ends. Please make sure your balance is paid in FACTS so we'll be able to send off transcripts.
Go Spirits!

News & Notes
- This week's students announcements can be found here.
- Here is the Senior Events information, including the seating chart.
- Last day for teachers is June 2nd. Last day for the staff is June 5th. Emails for all faculty and staff will be shut down soon after. I'll be in the office through the end of June.
- For all students, we will be sending official transcripts (and cumulative files, if requested) next week to the requesting schools.
- For Dual Enrollment credit, students will need to request transcripts from Hartnell or MPC
- Students were given instructions on how to transfer information from their Google Drive since their emails will be shut down soon. Here they are:
1. When logged into your Notre Dame Google Account, click on https://takeout.google.com/transfer
2. Choose a destination address- must be a personal google account. You can create a new one if needed.
3. Get the confirmation code from that personal gmail and continue following the instructions. The transfer can take up to a week, but normally only takes a couple of hours.
Notes:
- Transferring your drive will not make you lose access to it from your Notre Dame account, so you can do it right away
- Even if you think you won't need anything, you might want to reference essays when you apply to colleges or look at previous course materials to help you review for a future class! You can always delete things later if you find you don't need them!
- Be sure to change any logins that you want access to (such as college board) to a personal gmail account
- If you have used your personal email to apply to jobs or internships, you should reach out to share your personal gmail account.
- If you need assistance with the process, stop by Room 15 between 10:30 and 3:00 pm on Wednesday or Thursday this week and I will help you!
