1st Night Back was Amazing

What an incredible start to the year at JDub Youth! This past Sunday night, nearly 70 youth and volunteers came together for our first gathering, filling the space with energy, laughter, and excitement. From the moment students walked in, it was clear that God was at work, bringing together new faces and familiar ones to kick off a year of faith, fun, and friendship. The night was filled with games, worship, and small group connections that set the tone for all that’s ahead. None of this would have been possible without the commitment of our amazing volunteers, who gave their time and hearts to make the night meaningful for every student. We can’t wait to see how this momentum carries us forward as we continue to grow in Christ and in community together at JDub Youth!

Middle Schoolers Need for Acolytes

Serving as an acolyte is a wonderful way for middle school students to grow in their faith while playing an important role in the life of the church. By carrying the light of Christ into worship and assisting in the service, acolytes learn responsibility, develop leadership skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how worship connects us to God and to one another. This hands-on opportunity helps students see that they are not just the “future” of the church, but an active part of its ministry right now. Whether at the 8:30 or 11:00 service, acolyting allows them to contribute in a meaningful way, while also strengthening their confidence and sense of belonging in the church family. We encourage you to click the link below to sign up your child to serve as an acolyte and take part in this meaningful ministry.

Pumpkin Arrive Sunday Sept 28 Pumpkin Arrive Sunday Sept 28

It’s almost pumpkin time at John Wesley, and we need all hands on deck! Our pumpkin truck will be arriving on Saturday, September 28 and again on Saturday, October 12, both right after the 11:00 worship service. As soon as the truck pulls in, we’ll get to work unloading, and many hands will make light (and fun!) work. To say thank you, we’ll have food for everyone who stays to help, and each volunteer will also receive a special pumpkin t-shirt! In addition to unloading, we also need volunteers to help sell pumpkins throughout the season. Sales happen in easy two-hour shifts, and it’s a great way to meet people, share smiles, and support our youth ministry. Use the link below to sign up for a sales shift, and make plans to join us for the unloads—we can’t do this without you!
