Tardies Are On The Rise - Make sure to arrive on time
We have school Tuesday through Friday this week, 7:40 - 2:50 daily.
No school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
Students should be in their seats by 7:40, so plan to have them to school by 7:30 am.
It takes some time to walk from the school entrance to classrooms, and the car rider line gets long starting at 7:25, so please plan accordingly.
Make sure to follow the traffic rules by NOT picking up your child on 15th street. This is a directive from Newton Police Department. If you are picking up your student on the street shown in this picture, you are not picking up in the right place. Our car rider line is completely cleared out in 10 minutes, so the wait time is actually not that long. We do understand the desire to not wait in line, but for the increased safety of all drivers and students, we must ask all student pick ups to take place in front of the new building within the parking lot -- not on 15th Street. There have been MANY near-miss traffic accidents, so is important for everyone to follow this rule. Thank you to all who have been picking up in the right place! Ticketing of unauthorized cars began last week. Each day a student parks on campus without a pass, a $10 ticket will be issued. Parking passes are not transferable.
To save time, complete this form prior to arriving at the school and ask your child/student to bring in their driver's license. They will need to know their license plate numbers. Copies will also be available on-site.
