The CAS Flag Committee is raising funds to honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans. Families will have the opportunity to sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran—a family member, friend, or community hero. Each flag will proudly fly along our Flag Walkway in early November in honor of Veterans Day, with a laminated card detailing the veteran’s name plus branch and dates of service.

How it works:

• $5 donation: Sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran
• $10 donation: Sponsor a flag and have it given to the family after the display ends

We are sure many families are beginning to prepare for Halloween and therefore we would like to outline some guidelines for our school celebrations. Please click here to read important guidelines for our school wide celebration on October 30th!

Morning Arrival:

• Please remind your child to line up appropriately. Roughhousing and playing around in line are not permitted.
• Parents and caregivers should stand behind the lines rather than lining up with their children so students can enter the building safely.

After-School Playground

• Please do not allow children to climb trees.
• The school building is closed after dismissal, and bathrooms are unavailable. Please have your child use the bathroom beforehand or visit Dodge Field across the street.
• If conflicts arise, please remain patient, avoid accusations, and communicate respectfully. Remember that school expectations for kindness and respect continue after dismissal.

This week, our Pre-K through 2nd-grade students participated in our Fire Prevention assemblies! They learned essential safety lessons about exit plans, fire safety rules, firefighter gear, and more. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes even got a special up-close look at a fire truck to learn all about how it works!
