CLMS Family Update
September 25, 2026
From CLMS Principal, Mr. Eric Pettit
Good Afternoon, CLMS Families!
It is hard to believe we are already two and a half weeks into the school year. By this point, students are beginning to settle into routines, classrooms are finding their rhythm, and the building is starting to feel more like home again. We have been encouraged by the way students are adjusting to expectations, building relationships with staff and peers, and getting back into the habits that support strong learning.
These first few weeks are always an important time for establishing routines, reinforcing expectations, and helping students feel connected to their school community. We appreciate the support and patience of our families as students continue making that transition.
We also want to congratulate the CLMS students who qualified for our District Spelling Bee, which will take place this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. We are proud of their hard work and wish them the very best as they represent our school.
Finally, a big shout-out to all of our fall sports student-athletes. We appreciate the time, effort, teamwork, and school pride they are showing both in competition and in the classroom. There is a lot to celebrate at CLMS, and we are excited to keep building on the positive momentum of the year.
As Always, Go Pirates!

CLMS Classroom Highlight- District Report Card
The 2025–2026 Ohio School Report Cards have been released, and the graphic below provides a district-wide overview of our results, areas of progress, and continued priorities. At Cardington-Lincoln Middle School, we earned an overall rating of 3.5 stars, with our highest rating in Progress, reflecting the academic growth our students are making over time. We are proud of that growth while also recognizing that there is important work ahead in areas such as achievement and gap closing. Our focus will remain on strengthening instruction, supporting students through targeted interventions, and continuing the work already underway through Align. Refine. Redesign.

Help Our District and Families: 2026/27 Household Income Information Survey
Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete and return the 2026–2027 Household Income Information Survey. While completing the survey is completely voluntary, the information collected may help our district qualify for important state and local programs that provide additional resources and support for our students and schools.
Completing the survey may also benefit families who could qualify for free or reduced school fees and other assistance.
Your participation matters! Please take a few minutes to complete and return the survey. Every response helps our district better serve our students and families.
Copies of this form are also available in the CLMS Office!
Picture Make-Up/Retake Day is October 9th!
