Message From the Principal
Dear Parker Elementary School Families,
Can you believe we are already flipping the calendar to February? As we settle into the winter season, we have a busy and exciting week ahead to kick off the month. Please take a moment to note that we have an early release this Wednesday, February 4th. Dismissal will be at 12:45 pm, so please plan accordingly to meet your students at their bus stops or arrive for school pick-up on time.
Show Your Team Spirit!
We have a big week for sports fans at Parker School! Thursday, February 5th is Bruins Day to coincide with our schoolwide assembly from the Boston Bruins Foundation. We encourage all students to wear their favorite Bruins gear or wear the classic black and gold.
The fun continues on Friday, February 6th, as we celebrate the New England Patriots ahead of their appearance in Super Bowl LX this Sunday! Students are encouraged to wear their Patriots jerseys or team colors to help us wish them luck at the big game.
Important: Bruins Assembly Waiver
Please see the section below to complete the required waiver for Thursday's assembly. If you did not receive a confirmation message after submitting, don't worry, this is normal. Ms. Fitzpatrick will receive the official list from the Bruins organization prior to the event.
Best,
Matt Lutinski

Carline Drop Off and Pick Up
The recent heavy snowfall has significantly reduced our available parking due to large snowbanks. To keep our students safe and our traffic flowing smoothly, please note the following:
Bus Transportation: We strongly encourage all bus-eligible families to use the school bus. This preserves our limited parking for families who do not have bus access.
Morning Drop-off: All vehicles must enter via Parker Street and exit via River Street. Please use the supervised rolling drop-off line; double parking at any time strictly prohibited.
Afternoon Pick-up: Double parking remains prohibited. Additionally, please do not park on Pages Court. We must remain respectful of our neighbors and ensure they can access their driveways without obstruction.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive after 8:35 am, you must park and walk your student to the main office to receive a late pass from Ms. Butler.
Attached are the arrival and dismissal maps shared earlier this year. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our mornings efficient and safe!

A Warm Welcome and a Fond Farewell
We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Brian Sheehan will be joining the Parker team as our new Health and PE Teacher!
Mr. Sheehan is already a familiar face within our district, having previously served as the Health/PE teacher at the Kennedy and Hajjar Schools, as well as the Physical Education teacher at Marshall Middle School. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our wellness team, and we couldn’t be happier to have him join us starting Monday, February 2nd.
As we welcome a new face, we also want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Waters. Over the last four years, Mr. Waters has shown immense dedication to our students, and his positive impact on our school culture has been truly significant.
While he moves on to his next chapter, we want to thank him for his hard work and the lasting impression he’s made here at Parker. He will certainly be missed, and we wish him nothing but the very best in all his future endeavors!
Girls on the Run
We are thrilled to announce that Girls on the Run is returning to Parker School for the Spring 2026 season! This empowering program is open to our 3rd and 4th grade students, offering a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, kindness, and healthy habits through movement. Registration officially opens on Monday, February 2nd. For more details, please visit the official GOTR website or reach out to Ms. Coletta at kcoletta@billericak12.com with any questions. We can’t wait to see our runners hit the pavement!
