Hello Panther Family,

We are entering the third week of the new school year! Even though we are still at the beginning of the school year, we have many things to be thankful for. As the honeymoon phase is beginning to fade, we are continuing to focus on our mission of developing relevant learning experiences for our students each day. This week, we will focus on maximizing our time in the classroom, as it is important that we ensure students learn each day.

¡Estamos entrando en la tercera semana del nuevo año escolar! Aunque todavía estamos al comienzo del año escolar, tenemos muchas cosas que agradecer. A medida que la fase de luna de miel comienza a desvanecerse, continuamos enfocándonos en nuestra misión de desarrollar experiencias de aprendizaje relevantes para nuestros estudiantes cada día. Esta semana, nos concentramos en maximizar nuestro tiempo en el salón de clases, ya que es importante que garanticemos que los estudiantes aprendan todos los días.

Student Schedule Change Requests - Student schedule change requests begin Monday, August 28 - September 8. Students will either be able to use one of the posted QR codes to submit their request or pick up a paper copy of the request at the front office. Requests will be considered in the order they are received.

- Back to School Night is next Monday, August 28 from 5-6 PM.

We will begin in the cafeteria, then allow students/families to run through their schedule and meet each of you.

Join the Campus Advisory Council (CAC) - submit an application via this LINK. First meeting is Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 6 PM in the library.

• Easy IEP/504 has released a Parent Portal feature that will allow the parent/guardian/adult student to virtually access IEP/504 documentation, progress reports, and other documents generated in the system that the school district would like to send the family. Once logged into the system, parents/guardians/adult students may navigate between any of the headers which may contain information related to the student. Guides are available in both English and Spanish. Please go to AISD’s Special Education website for accessible copies of the guides.

By the end of the week, students will receive their campus ID badges. Students must present their ID to enter class and to check out devices. ID badges can be used in the cafeteria when checking out of line, allowing for a faster process than when students type in their IDs. Please encourage your student to bring their ID daily.

Please be reminded:

• If you wish to check out your student, you must come to the campus in order to do so. Checking a student out through the phone will not be permitted, as we are not able to verify guardian identity.
• All lunch delivered to the campus must be brought by a verified guardian in person.
