Zaliyah is a creative, intelligent, and funny student whose enthusiasm and dedication make her a standout in the 8th grade. She enjoys drawing, reading, playing games, and making crafts. Zaliyah’s short-term goal is to finish reading the Wings of Fire series, which she is currently enjoying, and her long-term goal is to become a successful entrepreneur. Her favorite subject is ELA because she loves reading and writing. Zaliyah is inspired by her first-grade teacher, Ms. Spangler, whose outgoing personality and fun spirit encouraged her to be herself.

Hazmir is an energetic and dedicated student who enjoys spending time outdoors playing baseball with his family and cousins. His hobbies include playing games, participating in sports, and working out. Hazmir’s short-term goal is to complete his work to earn good grades, and his long-term goal is to maintain strong grades throughout the entire school year. He loves reading comic books and finds ELA to be his favorite subject because of the fun and engaging activities. Hazmir is inspired by Ms. Hubbard, who supports him whenever he needs help and clearly explains what to do when he misses class.
