September 11: A Day of Remembrance September 11: A Day of Remembrance

On September 11, we pause as a school community to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the terrorist attacks of 2001. We honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who acted with extraordinary bravery, and we recognize the families whose lives were forever changed.

Although today’s students were not yet born, the lessons of September 11 remain important. May we continue to choose compassion over division, service over self-interest, and unity during difficult times. We will never forget.

MTTN Informational Slide Deck MTTN Informational Slide Deck

For families who were unable to attend Meet the Teacher Night, we have provided the informational slide deck from the evening. The presentation includes important information about school expectations, attendance, graduation requirements, academic programs, student support services, extracurricular opportunities, and each academic department. We encourage you to review the slides with your student and contact their teacher, counselor, or administrator with any questions. We look forward to partnering with you throughout the 2026–27 school year to ensure every student is known, supported, challenged, and prepared for life beyond graduation.

FHS Student Spectator Expectations FHS Student Spectator Expectations

1. Spectators must sit in the designated HOME/AWAY Bleachers

2. At NO time is it appropriate for SPECTATORS/STUDENTS to call out/chant opposing players names or numbers or yell at officials during the game. Spectators will be removed from the contest if necessary.

3. STUDENTS are to remain in the bleachers (not permitted to stand or sit on the floor) when cheering during an event/contest.

4. SPECTATORS will be removed from the facility if they interfere with the play of the game/officials/coaches/players or school personnel.

5. FHS Students must scan into all games with their student ID and must meet attendance requirements (3 or less tardies in a week) to enter the game at no charge. If a student scans red they must pay to enter.

6. Richards Middle School students need to present their student ID at the ticket table for Entry and be accompanied by a parent in order to enter the facility.

7. SPECTATORS may not bring outside food or drinks into the school or stadium.

8. Students may not bring backpacks into the contests.

9. No outside balls or noise makers that are not pre-approved by administration

10. Students are expected to sit in the bleachers and not hang out in the hallways, Athletic Entrance, Stadium entrance or open areas inside the stadium.

11. Students are not to sit in or walk over to the Visiting Teams Bleachers

12. In the event that a student is asked to leave a game, the parent or the guardian will be asked to take that student home.

13. Once a student/spectator exits the athletic facilities, they will not be permitted to re-enter.

14. Students not representing schools competing in that day's contest will not be permitted into the Fraser HS/MS athletic facilities.

15. Spectators are to exhibit Sportsmanship at all time, cheer positively and support all those individuals involved in the event you are attending.

16. Respect all Officials at all times as the number of officials available is declining. Don't be a reason why an official will not work a Fraser event in the future.

As always, the safety of our staff, students, and families remains our top priority. These additional measures will support our students in making good choices and create a safe environment for all to enjoy the event.

We encourage our families to take advantage of these athletic events. We can come together with our school community and reconnect with family and friends. Fraser is a special place and our athletic events allow our community to celebrate the rich history and tradition of our schools. These updated safety and support guidelines will be used for all Fraser High School indoor athletic events moving forward.

Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup

Hello Fraser Families:

As we look forward to another school year, please take a moment to review the process that we have in place for traffic flow in our parking lots, so that everyone can enter and exit as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • If you live in our bussing area, please have your child take the bus.
  • If you need to drop your student off, please try to do so before 7:10. There is very little waiting at that time.
  • Please use the Klein Road parking lot for drop off. This parking lot is usually much less congested.
  • If you use the Garfield parking lot, please pull to the curb to drop your child off, and then proceed down past the main entrance before turning left to get in line to exit. Please do not use the parking lanes before the main entrance to enter the exit line.

I know that waiting in line can be frustrating, but if we all work together and follow the above expectations, the process should be better for everyone.

Thank you for your help and support.

Work-Based Learning Monthly Highlight Work-Based Learning Monthly Highlight

Exploring Careers. Building Futures.

Each month, our Work-Based Learning program connects students with real-world career experiences through guest speakers, field trips, and hands-on activities.

Senior Parents,

Does your senior currently have a job? If so, they may be able to earn high school credit for the job they already have.

Our Co-Op /Work Based Learning Program allows eligible seniors to gain valuable work experience while earning school credit. It’s a great way for students to connect what they are learning in school to their future career goals.

What does Co-Op offer?

  • Students can leave school after lunch (co-op is Blocks 4 & 8) to go to work.

  • Students can earn school credit while working at least 10 hours per week.

  • Students keep their paycheck while also earning credit!

  • Students gain real-world work experience that can strengthen their resume.

  • Students must be enrolled in a current course that connects to their job.

If your senior is already working, please encourage them to stop by the CTE Office (across from the Rambler Café) and talk with Mrs. Kausch to see if their job qualifies.

This is a great opportunity for students to earn credit, gain experience, and continue earning a paycheck while completing high school.

Save the Date: Manufacturing Week

September 28th – October 2nd

Manufacturing Week is coming up, and students will have the opportunity to get out of the classroom and experience local manufacturing firsthand! These tours are a great way for students to explore career options, ask questions, and see what working in the manufacturing industry is really like.

More information and sign-up details will be emailed to parents and students next week!

Tribal Affiliation Tribal Affiliation

In Michigan, schools are required to collect certain student information, such as enrollment, demographics, and program participation, and share it with the Michigan Department of Education. This process is required by state and federal law and helps monitor publicly funded education programs.

A new rule in the State School Aid Act now requires schools to also collect information about students’ tribal affiliations. This change was developed with input from Tribal Nations in Michigan.

Starting this school year, families have the option to share tribal affiliation information. Sharing this information is completely voluntary.

The data will help strengthen communication with Tribal Nations and may allow schools to qualify for additional funding to better support Indigenous students.

If a family chooses to share this information, it will be protected under privacy laws such as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), which also prohibits discrimination.

If you would like to report your tribal affiliation, please complete this form by October 7. (Link: https://fraserk12.jotform.com/252335442152853)
