Welcome Back to Pryor High School
The Tiger Report
Welcome to the first edition of the Tiger Report! This monthly newsletter is designed to keep our families, staff, students, and community connected to all the great things happening at Pryor High School. Each month, we’ll highlight important dates, upcoming events, student and staff accomplishments, and other information you need to know. There is a lot to be proud of at PHS, and I look forward to using the Tiger Report to celebrate our successes and keep everyone informed.
Tiger Focus
Each month, we will share areas of focus here at PHS:
- Academic Focus: Settling into strong classroom routines and helping students stay on top of assignments and grades. We want to work together to help every student get off to a great start.
- Attendance Matters: Building good habits starts with being at school, on time, every day. Please help us emphasize the importance of consistent daily attendance.
- Student Involvement: PHS is fortunate to offer a wide variety of activities for our students. Research shows that involved students are more likely to be successful, so please encourage your student to get connected and participate.
- School Culture: A culture of leadership, learning, and excellence is paramount at PHS. We strive to follow the Tiger Tenets in all that we do.
- Looking Ahead: Pryor High School is a launching pad to the adult world, and we want to help each and every student prepare for success beyond high school.

Principal's Corner
Dear Pryor High School Families,
As we begin a new school year, I want to take a moment to introduce myself to those I have not yet had the opportunity to meet. This is my first year serving as principal of Pryor High School, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Tiger community.
Prior to coming to Pryor, I spent 11 years as the principal at Keys High School, where I also served in athletic and alternative education leadership roles. Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about building strong school culture, supporting teachers, creating opportunities for students, and helping young people prepare for success beyond high school.
One of the things that has impressed me most in my short time at PHS is the pride people have in this school and community. We have outstanding students, dedicated teachers and staff, and tremendous support from our families and community. I am excited about what we can accomplish together.
As the year continues, I hope the Tiger Report will be another way for us to stay connected, celebrate the great things happening at PHS, and keep families informed about important events and opportunities.
Thank you for the warm welcome my family and I have received and for your continued partnership in supporting our students. I am excited about the year ahead and proud to be a Pryor Tiger. If you ever need to contact me, send me an email gosss@pryorschools.org
Gooooo Tigers!
