Direct instruction around identifying generative AI images and videos, the characteristics of quality journalism, virtual presentation from The Atlantic reporter, Shane Harris.
Daily contests, raffles, prizes, and more!

Prom-Thank You!
Another super successful prom is in the books! Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, and to all the teachers who chaperoned: Charlotte Camp, Molly Frame, Julia Kidd, Sean McCune, Mary Mahoney, Talley Nichols, Jennifer Read, John Trinca, Dave White, and Erica Young.
A big thank you as well to The Center for the Arts for hosting, DJ LLL Laura Silva for music, Mary Donohue for photography, and Dana Zobs at Crested Butte Catering for delicious food.
While prom is put on by the school, After Prom is organized by the PTA—so a huge thank you to Sarah Hartigan, Teri Harper and the After Prom team for creating such a wonderful event. The kids ate well, danced, and made memories. Most importantly, they had a wonderful time and were safe.

Student Release During the School Day
In an effort to alleviate disruptions to classroom learning, if you need to pick up your child during the school day, please do your best to utilize a passing period. We understand that this may not always be possible, but when it is, it really benefits our learning environment. Per the student handbook, middle school students must be signed out from the front office by a guardian. Please also call ahead or email. High school students can sign out from the office on their own with guardian approval (email cbssattendance@gunnisonschools.net or call 970-641-7720). Thanks for your help and support!
