Dear River Mill Families,

Thank you to all the families who joined us for Bingo Night! It was a fantastic evening filled with fun, laughter, and of course—pizza! We truly appreciate your support and participation. Events like these are a great opportunity to come together and celebrate our amazing River Mill community. A huge shoutout to our amazing teachers and staff who helped make the night a success. Their time and effort made this event so special for our families. We’re grateful for all of you, our school community, and can’t wait for the next fun event! 🎉

Read Across America Week kicks off on Monday! This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage our students to read as much as possible outside of the school day—whether it's in the morning, after school, or before bedtime. To celebrate, we’ll also have fun dress-up days throughout the week! Check out the flyer below for details and join in on the excitement!

Your support and involvement mean so much to us. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our school community! We’re looking forward to another great week ahead.

Important Reminder about Respectful and Safe Behavior Important Reminder about Respectful and Safe Behavior

zoom_out_map

We wanted to take a moment to address an important issue that has come up at school. Recently, we have had instances where students have used threatening language toward others. We want to be very clear that it is never okay for a student to threaten to hurt or harm another person. Any such behavior is taken seriously and will result in appropriate consequences.

At River Mill, our goal is to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment where all students feel respected and valued. We ask for your help in reminding your child about the importance of using kind and respectful words, even when they are frustrated or joking. Together, we can ensure that our school remains a place where all students feel safe and supported.

Thank you for your partnership in reinforcing these important expectations. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Attendance Matters Attendance Matters

Did you know that many of our youngest students miss about 10% of the school year—around 14 days, or just two days a month? This level of chronic absenteeism in elementary school can predict lower test scores and challenges with retention in later grades. Every day and every minute of school matters, contributing to your child's growth and success! Please help us support your child's learning by ensuring they attend school every day and arrive on time. Thank you for partnering with us to build strong habits for lifelong learning!
